I think I could hear WWE's laughter during that last Young Bucks promo and then the weird SNL "take a bow" ending with Cody's lame speech and Kenny being a huge dork who sounded like a substitute teacher on the mic.

I think I just dislike The Young Bucks but the rest of the show was solid wrestling. Obviously characters/story is a work in progress still and the production including commentary has a ways to go.

The biggest problem I have with commentary so far is JR leading the in between match packages. He shouldn't be the main guy.

I thought this show was better than their June show.

It was way better than Fyter Fest which was pretty mediocre.

The in-ring stuff was mostly very good, and I really enjoyed the main event. The CIMA/Omega match was better than I expected, too, even if I did think there were three double-knees too many.

The announcing was pretty poor IMO.

AEW's weekly show on TNT will be Wednesdays from 8-10 p.m. starting Oct. 2.

Nice to hear. I thought it was coming in mid-late November. I'm hopeful for finally having a good weekly wrestling program on tv.

I was super skeptical of the Shawn Spears push, just because he was such a joke in WWE and it seemed TNA-ish to instantly push a WWE midcard guy, but I really liked the interview he did with JR and the general presentation. It helps that AEW has a small (in terms of size/stature) roster so he can come across as intimidating, which wouldn't have really worked in WWE.



So far it's kind of a mixed bag for me. I have really liked their more serious angles that have a level of gravitas missing from WWE, but there is also a lot of goofy/amateurish crap on the show that turns me off a bit. Definitely excited to see what they do on TV if the tone is similar to these videos.

They've said for a while they're using a "three-ring circus" strategy so expect some serious and some goofy stuff to continue.

(I'm not a fan of goofy, either. Oh well.)

They sold out the Capital One arena in hours.

WWE has become too much of an athletic soap opera for me so I am really looking forward to AEW.

Got my tickets for their 2nd TV show in Boston - thankful the ticket office was a 20-minute walk from my work. 20 people ahead of me 10 minutes before they opened ticket sales. 3 minutes after they opened ticket sales, they told everyone in line "good thing you folks are here live and that we reserve tickets for in-person, because online tickets sold out 2 minutes ago." I'll be about 10 rows back on the floor, but not bad for $38/ticket, no fee.

Nice! Hoping AEW knocks this out of the park.

That and the third show sold out within minutes. The fourth and fifth shows have been announced but bigger buildings than the 2nd/3rd week. 4 and 5 have 8,800 and 9,100. Not sure when those two go on sale. Realistically, they should sell as many shows as they possibly can prior to debuting on 10/2 because who knows after that.

He tweets more saying he's having surgery this week and he'll be ready for AEW's debut on TNT on 10/2.

Neville will be taking Ambrose's place.

That tweet started out so frighteningly that I was relieved by the MRSA.

PAC vs Omega will be sooooo much better than Mox vs Omega could ever be.

It's certainly a huge improvement on match quality just not the almighty ppv draw. Especially since the rest of the card looks pretty meh.

That's a pretty massive blow if true. I guess they could replace him with Laredo Kid but still not the same especially because it was supposed to be for the AAA titles.

The poster for All Out only features Cody and Shawn Spears which seems like a bad choice. No Mox, Jericho, Omega, Bucks etc, just Cody and Tye Dillinger. If I was a casual fan that didn't know much about AEW then that's not selling me anything.

It seems he's alright but was shaken up.



Alright could still be too injured to work but I was thinking a Sid type injury.

Surprised Pac is going to fill in, given it's rumored he disappeared from AEW to avoid an Omega matchup he would lose.

EDIT: Oh, I see Pac has dropped the Dream Gate title. That makes more sense now.

MRSA is a ***** and a half.

I wish they just got two new announcers instead of two retreads. I don't want to listen to either one of them so much I don't know if I can watch even the debut, I probably will try but meh.
