They're leaning into Danielson still being on course for a rematch far too quickly. Should have been:

1. Draw
2. Omega says no rematches
3. Danielson doesn't manage to get a rematch for 6+ months

I don't know exactly how they're going to kayfabe justify elevating him to another match with Omega - might just be silly **** like Omega getting baited into accepting again - but it isn't the way if the company is going to hold to its "records matter" thing.

By all means I hope you're right. It's possible that I'm scarred from too many years of WWE booking where they have no ****ing idea how to slow-burn almost anything and insist on wearing good things out as quickly as possible. But seeing Danielson back in any match with Omega so quickly definitely was giving me traumatic flashbacks to Teddy Long holonaminutplaya tag team matches.

Ah, he's just wrestling at the taping, but not on this show. I was gonna say, one area where AEW is far superior to WWE is the thing where it actually lays out cards in advance of shows and doesn't operate on this ridiculous WWE conceit where, in kayfabe, everyone just shows up to the arena, and if bros didn't get in impromptu fights then they wouldn't have enough content to fill a show.

Oh I forgot to say, I actually ended up watching Rhodes to the Top over the weekend and it was pretty entertaining. Some good behind the scenes stuff, some stupid reality TV stuff.

Dan milked the crowd well on that one.

Cool to see Jericho to the rescue. Inner Circle has kinda faded out a bit, so neat to see some reinforcement of the group.
