I've been keeping up with the weekly Dynamite program and enjoying it. Definitely think they are producing better weekly shows with more interesting feuds than WWE is.

I didn't buy the PPV though, and from reading the internet it seems that was a wise decision.

I purchased the PPV and it was by far the worst big show they've put out.

The Jericho match was just plain weird/bad. The Matt Hardy fall really put a damper on the entire show.

I would give MJF/Moxley a B+.

Janela preshow : D+
Britt Baker/Big Swole : D+
Dark Order match : C-
Women's title match : B-
Battle Royal : C-
Men's Tag team match (way too long) : B
Matt Hardy / Sammy G : D+ (because of the concussion injury)

I've been watching a bit of AEW lately and have been enjoying it. No Cody on the show helps A LOT. Also they just signed the biggest free agent and the greatest wrestler in the world.

A quick glance and I thought that was Gillberg.

I feel lame shilling for a wrestling company, but AEW is killing it right now and deserves to be talked more on this forum than it does.

Dynamite was great last night and the company has alot of great stories going on. My biggest criticism is that every match tries to be 'too good'. They could really do for more squashes. (MJF had a very effective one last night).

Gold happening in AEW right now:

-Last nights parking lot brawl between Santana/Ortiz and Best Friends was ridiculous. Crazy hardcore fight with some wild spots off cars/trucks/windshields/hoods. Def worth checking out.

-MJF may be the best thing going in wrestling right now. His promos and character work are fire every time, and he's brilliantly slowly setting up a turn/feud with Wardlow while he continues to hunt for Moxley and the title.

-Great long-term story and feud setting up between Kenny Omega and Hangman Page. Their tag team is no more, but Page is still hung up on his ex.

-Similarly great story developing between FTR and the Bucks.

-Eddie Kingston cuts a hell of a promo and his 'family' of Butcher, Blade and the Lucha Brothers are setting up nicely to wreak some havoc.

-MIRO has been tabbed as Kip Sabians 'best man'. It's only a matter of time between Miro spectacularly and brutally turns on Kip and destroys him. And then hopefully he'll be off to the races as a top AEW guy.

-AEW just finds such a good/efficient way to maximize their 2 hours each week to highlight so many different wrestlers. All of the above arcs were explored last night while also having time to spotlight or mention:

Moxley vs Team Taz (now with Lance Archer as an ally)
Thunder Rosa/Shida alliance vs Ivalisse/Diamante
Private Party (and Matt Hardy) v Jericho/inner circle
Jurassic Express v FTR

It's amazing what you can accomplish in 2 hours when you don't spend 30+ mins every week showing video clips of what happened 3 weeks earlier!

Okay, I guess I should check back in and try watching again.

Do they still do ridiculous, show-ruining kickouts multiple times per show?

Yeah, I'd say they are guilty of it in general.

Dammit. I need my NWA back.

I'll still try to give AEW another shot. If nothing else, I'm curious to see Thunder Rosa on another stage.

It's awesome to see Eddie Kingston killing it on a big stage.

Aside from the silliness of that, it was a great ep of Dynamite.

Full Gear PPV is tomorrow night, card is stacked.

Moxley v Kingston
Page v Omega
Cody v Darby
FTR v Bucks
Jericho v MJF
Hardy v Guevara
Nyla Rose v Shida

I haven't watched a single show since the pandemic started but that's about to change because Pac is back.

Some of it has been pretty good. Match results have been a bit predictable in the big feuds lately but the stories have been entertaining. Eddie Kingston actually got me looking forward to Moxely segments.

I've heard how great Kingston is but the only thing I've ever seen from him was in the ROH vs. CZW Cage of Death match when he was on Team CZW. He had a great presence for sure. Looking forward to seeing him.

Haven't been watching AEW, but Kingston was definitely really good on NWA Powerrr.

Match between Pac and Blade was pretty good. Minus Blade nearly killing him. Blade picked Pac up for a suplex and threw him at the ropes so he'd hang by his midsection on the top rope but they were too far away and Pac came almost straight down on his head and was lucky enough to get his legs on the ropes to avoid a broken neck or worse.

Only other thing I watched was TYB's vs. Top Flight. After not watching them for 8 months I've decided that TYB's suck and their matches aren't wrestling or at least not what I want out of wrestling.

I tuned in for a little bit last night because I'm a Thunder Rosa mark. I did think the Deeb-Rosa match was pretty good.

The other major development is an Impact invasion angle with Omega winning the belt with help from Don Callis, and the two of them running out of the arena claiming to explain themselves Tuesday night on Impact.

Pretty intriguing, with AEW already having working relationships with NWA, AAA, Japan, etc. and now Impact. Seems like AEW is trying to rally everyone and everything to take on Vince

I thought that show last night was great. Moxley was a very good champion (I'll say good not great) and the Callis angle definitely has me interested for next week and even DVRing Impact.

I am not against the Sting signing. Who said he's going to be getting in the ring embarrassing himself? If he is a mentor/manager to Darby Allin while wrestling 3-4 times a year for 3 minutes it will be fine.

AEW isn't loaded at the top of the card like the tag division so the Impact angle will help freshen things up challenging Omega. If they didn't have that in their back pocket I really don't know who they would have had to challenge Omega. They just did Moxley and he's likely going to Japan for a little or resting. They did Hangman as well. They can't just keep putting Cody up top.

Lance Archer is intriguing but that's about it to me. Darby Allin is not at a level to be taking on Omega in a headline role for the Revolution PPV in February.

congrats on getting impact 50k more viewers

admittedly the latest plot twist has intrigued me a little, and I guess sting will initially bring in some but LOL at thinking what we really need is more wcw. basketball players, sting, eager for the finger poke title change.

WCW would never have let MJF and Orange Cassidy main event a Nitro.

I don't think AEW is getting everything right, but they're getting enough right that they're light years ahead of the competition.
