The prizes clearly state 'longest time survived' and not 'last longest'. I think the only fair thing to do is see what the official number statistics are for the match. If wwe.com/wikipedia both have them as the same time in the match I think it has to be a tie? I suppose we could go to arbitration but I think it would be a tie based on wording.

$10 pool

Winner $150- Parsons Grinder
Runner up $50-Franchise5
Most Eliminations-$50- ????
Longest Time Survived $50-Either Parsons Grinder or Parsons Grinder/Franchise5 split

$100 pool

Winner $1050- Burdzthewurd
Runner up $150- Franchise5
Most Eliminations $150- ????
Longest Time Survived $150-Either Burdzthewurd or Burdzthewurd/Franchise5 split

Burdzthewurd, Franchise5, and Parsons Grinder have been paid out for winner and runner up positions.

It's late, I think the fairest thing to do is see how everything shakes out tomorrow and make a ruling/payments for the last prizes then.

A tie is a defensible position and I think it's fine if you make that call.

Wikipedia now has a 4 person tie listed with (4) for most eliminations amongst Big E, Priest, Rollins, and Strowman. They currently list Edge and Orton both at 58:30 time lasted.

WWE.com has official results for the Womens match with time stamps and elimination numbers, but I can't seem to find the Mens results there.

Anyone else?

Surprised Vince listened to me and swapped them.

And I would say Edge is still surviving to win the last longer, as well as spending more than 10% of the match participating in the match.

I'm 100% happy with whatever decision is made though, thank you for running.

Wwe.com shows a tie for longest time between edge and orton.

They show only Priest and Big E with 4 eliminations, Strowman and Rollins with 3 each.

Not sure if it is a fair comparison, but if we had a last longer in a poker tournament, would we split the winnings between the final 2 players or ship to the winner?

I really have no idea. My assumption is for a poker last longer you just pay out to the person with the highest finish as not everyone is walking around with stop watch and saying i entered on time and got the first hand of the tournament or I late regged and started 2 hours late, so I need to last 2 hours longer than you.

In this instance the wording says longest time survived, which I would assume means longest time in the match, which according to WWE and other sources is the same amount.

Having said all that, as previously stated I will leave it up to redirkulous.

I would like to throw out a thought to both Parsons and Burdz since they are the ones that I would be splitting with, and since we all made money on this endeavor anyways, would you be opposed to just telling redirkulous to take the money for the longest survivor and just donating it to charity?

I'm torn if this is an apples to apples comparison. If it were a poker last longer, I would definitely pay the winnings to the tournament winner. The thing about a poker tournament LL is there's really no 'time' involved. The crux of it is, 'who finishes higher in the tournament'.

But that is not what this is. The specific wording is 'longest time survived', and all of the records list them having spent the same amount of time in the royal rumble. I went back and looked at the 1995 RR match where Shawn/Bulldog finished 1-2 and their time stamps are the same also.

Going forward, we can put a clarification on this to avoid confusion. But as is, my ruling is that the longest time survived will be a TIE between Edge and Orton.

That is a nice sentiment. But I will be paying out all of the winners individually. I feel most comfortable doing that.

I sold 25% of my bet to a friend but very happy to donate my share of the winnings. Lovely idea.

I believe everyone should be paid out now. Let me know if there were any issues.

I can't believe you had Damian Priest also, didn't realize that until this morning.

That's gotta be the best draw in the history of this pool, especially considering you went in 100% sure you had Orton and got the winner instead.
