Someone (I think teejay) said that the kayfabe explanation is that Shinsuke added lyrics because he hated fans singing along with his theme. This does stop that.

Pretty great heel touch if true, even though it makes the theme worse.

I think that "no contest because a competitor can't continue" in a last man standing match still holds the crown. That's awfully difficult to beat.
