Let's get the ball rolling OTT. I just came up with a pretty sweet booking idea that will never happen but damn i think it's good. I'll start with my predictions.

WWE World Heavyweight Championship
Royal Rumble Match
Roman Reigns (c) Vs 29 Superstars

Roman Reigns. I am basically setting my expectations real low so that any other result surpasses them.

Reasons he will win: He's Vince's love child and is receiving cena like booking no matter the WWE universe's response to him. He has already been screwed out of the belt several times and "finally" won the strap recently. I don't think they will take it from him again.

Reasons he won't win: He's Vince's love child and therefore deserving of a "wrestlemania moment". It would be more of a moment if he's overcoming the ultimate odds and beating the champ at WM, rather than defending the title.


WWE Intercontinental Championship
Last Man Standing Match
I think Dean retains. I like that there has been a build to this match without these guys actually fighting each other every other Raw. This is one feud they've gotten right which is leading to a big payoff, hopefully. Personally, I just don't get excited about Dean any more. Not sure if it's how WWE has booked him over the last year or just his style of wrestling. Probably a little bit of both.

I think the loser of this match is gonna head over to the depleted upper card. Kevin Owens is a good heel who they can insert into a feud with Lesnar/reigns and even a heel/heel feud like wyatt. I am mainly just hoping for a good match, and expect one.

WWE United States Championship
Alberto Del Rio (c) Vs Kalisto

Kalisto. So Kalisto upset Del Rio recently on Raw and lost the title back to Del Rio on the very next Smackdown. I just don't think he had that moment on Raw taken from him in a cheap loss not to win the belt on a PPV. He's worked his ass off, won spot of the year slammy and i think he's getting a bone thrown his way. Del Rio, while looks fantastic is just stuck in the LON and i think he will break off from them and feud with either one. I just can't see that stable staying together spinning their wheels.
WWE Divas Championship


Charlotte (c) Vs Becky Lynch
I pretty much have FFwd their feud so i don't really care. Just want Sasha banks in the title picture

WWE Tag Team Championships
The New Day (c) Vs The Usos
New Day retains. No way the hottest stars in the company lose to the snoozefest known as the Usos at this point in time. Although, if they win, where do they go from here? They've pretty much cleaned out the already weak tag team division. Only way Usos win is if they plan to break up New Day and have a Big E vs Kofi feud with Xavier having to choose a side.

Darren Young and Damien Sandow Vs The Dudley Boyz Vs The Ascension Vs Mark Henry and Jack Swagger

Dudley boyz had their RR moment last year. I don't think they go in. Ascension has 0 shot. Between the other 2 teams I suppose i go with Darren Young and Sandow only b/c they are younger and have been absent for a while. Perhaps they have a good performance in the rumble to get them some steam for a midcard run.




So my fantasy booking I just thought of:

Saw some talks about the Wyatts ganging up on Lesnar in the RR throwing him out, and everyone sacrificing themselves for Bray.

Well, I wouldn't mind seeing this happen, but having Luke Harper say **** this and duke it out with Bray, win or lose.

I know they tried a singles run with Luke and he had the IC strap for a while, but he deserves so much better than playing second fiddle to Bray in that faction for 3 years straight.

He's a beast of a human, and really good in ring considering his size and i think he could make it on the main card. We haven't heard much of his mic skills so i can't comment on that. I think he'd be a great Paul Heymann guy.

Who knows...i am probably off on everything here, but i'm excited to see how it unfolds.

My pick for the Rumble is Jericho. Sets up the retirement match against Taker.

ONE VS AHHH

+1 on Jericho. Was about to write the same thing. Apparently he was booked to win in 2012 but Vince had a moment of madness at the eleventh hour. He's very much the safe choice. Reliable, experienced, over with smarks, and almost certain to deliver a good feud, good television segments and a good Mania match.

Cool Dad Jericho headlining wrestlemania is so ****ing stupid that I completely buy it as a possibility

I hope Roman Reigns wins by eliminating all 29 other sports entertainers

Henry/Swagger team probably wins if only for Cole to try to work out how you eliminate the world's strongest man

Which will involve reigns, waiting five seconds

The build to all of the individual matches on this PPV has actually been quite good, but the Rumble build was one of the worst things I've ever experienced. It's weird to be more excited for the rest of the show than the rumble.

Here's my prediction:

Roman is last person in the ring, and he starts to get x-pac heat from the crowd. HHH comes in @ #30 (or #31) and the crowd continues to boo like crazy while the two go at it. HHH ultimately wins and the crowd continues to boo while he is holding up the belt and the PPV fades to black. On RAW tomorrow they spin it that the fans were upset that HHH won (and Roman lost), showing photos of HHH holding up the belt with the negative crowd audio in the background to support their claim.

I, for one, cannot wait(!!!!!) to have Roman "Jesus" Reigns in the ring for over an hour tonight. It's going to be great. Hopefully it's a "good" crowd.

My bet is HHH.

My pick is HHH with my dark horse being Bray Wyatt.

Since Roman is going to be in this thing for an hour I hope he's "asleep" in a corner for like 58 minutes of it, as someone else suggested in another thread.

I can't see Bray winning, he is always the bridesmaid in WWE, never the bride. I think they closed Raw with him to make him "a contender". If they were gonna role with him, the build would have featured him from the start.

The Wyatts thing at the end of Raw just felt like the writers making one last desperate stab at trying to make the Rumble not feel completely predictable. I didn't interpret it as a sign that they might win or that Bray vs. Lesnar is definitely happening.

I wouldn't count on a smarky crowd in Florida, but yeah here's hoping.

for some reason i'm cautiously optimistic the ending won't be awful. i also haven't read any spoiler stuff over the last week.

I could definitely see HHH coming out at 31 and eliminating Reigns after Reigns thought he won.

After last year, every Royal Rumble should be held in Philadelphia.

Here's to Reigns/Lesnar eliminating each other at the same time, HHH walking out at #31, Reigns/Lesnar at Fast Lane for #1 contender

Then boo man should have the odds stacked against him at WRESTLEMANIA where every match on the card is reigns in a handicap match and roman has to win every single match to get the opportunity to defend his title in the main event of wrestlemania in a handicap match against h Cena Vince the rock the undertaker, Bork, a returning Daniel Bryan and stone cold Steve Austin and how will reigns overcome the one vs ahh
