Jack Wilcox was key to the success of iPokerVIP Coaching, and the materials he produced brought enjoyment to thousands of fellow players.

Tragically, Jack passed away after a motorbiking accident in Thailand on the 6th February 2012 at the age of just 22. When I last spoke to Jack he said he was happy & enjoying life in Thailand, and in all my experiences with Jack he's been nothing less than a genuine, friendly and happy guy. He gave so much to the online poker community through his frequent contributions to TwoPlusTwo and through his coaching endeavours to help others improve at the game which he loved. A truly kind & sincere person he'll be sorely missed by us all, and my thoughts go out to his family and loved ones.

Although we spoke to Jack a lot online on both a personal and professional level, we didn't know him incredibly well, so I'd like to invite everyone to share their positive experiences with Jack here, and we'll add them to his Coaching Biography.

When I recently asked Jack for a few more pictures of himself for the site, he sent me 3 pictures: 1 of him in swim trunks on a beautiful Thai island, 1 of him white water rafting with friends & 1 of him and a friend skiing. I feel like that alone says a lot about Jack, his happiness and his attitude toward life.

RIP mate. Only knew him through skype but he was always happy to help and give advice with anything from Poker to travelling.. Such a shame.

Too shocked to post more right now. Can't get my head around it yet.

Such an amazing guy. I, and many others, will be devastated by this news.

I didn't know Jack very well, but chatted to him on occasion via Skype. It is obvious that he was an ambitious, hard working and caring individual.

He (afaik) founded HigherLevelPoker and created a number of great poker training videos for a few sites, including ours.

Jack's death is truly a great loss to the world. From his coaching videos, interview, poker related projects and my short time speaking to him on Skype it was obvious that Jack was someone who was destined to be successful.

It's a shame that we sometimes only recognize someone's true potential when it is too late. Jack really had it and I wish I had spoken to him more when I had the chance.

There is so much to say about Jack and I will do my best to make all his material available on our site, YouTube and 2+2 in the next few days.

Ugh, when I read this I thought it meant he quit making videos. Sad to hear. I talked to him on Skype a few times and he seemed like a good guy.

Just received the following message from Jack's sister Emma:

"We have now arranged Jack's funeral. It is on the 8th March at 1:45pm at Henley Road Cemetery, Reading. Details can be found at www.abwalker.co.uk in the next day or so when they upload the obituary. I wasn't sure if you wanted to attend or if you knew anyone that wanted to attend. Could you possibly try and let his poker following know? I am not sure if you are a member on any forums etc. As we are trying to spread the word as much as possible as it would be a terrible shame if someone was to miss it. "

Clearly his family want as much of Jack's poker friends and following to attend the funeral as possible, so I'd definitely urge any UK/England people to try make it if they can.
