+1

Do not destroy modders which are working now... I'm happy now with my tables after modding those with Iammodder tool..

What is the current standing on iPoker's planned switch to the "essence" like rake model?

They announced they're switching to WC. No essence for iPoker.

I found the software totally unbearable that coupled with nearly all the tables having 1 bot on them just makes Stars the most obvious choice despite the RB offers.

Sun Poker has released "new" client today.
Think it will not be easy for you guys to find changes))))

They have such a opportunity with whats going on at Stars right now ... but they never seem to want to improve and increase their player pool.
Exactly - a decent software upgrade now that made playing poker fairly straightforward could see them take a big chunk of market share. Instead they tarted up the lobby.

Its a shambles really ...

Its one reason why Stars felt they where in a position to cut everyone's rewards ...knowing nobody else is willing to make the effort in offering a decent alternative.

ive been waiting this software update forever
01-21-2012 , 05:20 PM
So, still no new software?
01-23-2012 , 12:39 AM
Titan delivered a new look a couple days ago.
01-23-2012 , 07:51 AM
Seems that there are no changes to tables, only the lobby.
01-24-2012 , 06:41 AM
Since tables are all visible over the entire network, don't they have to wait for every skin to implement the changes before they can spread new games/late reg/etc.?
01-24-2012 , 04:45 PM
Have any skins fixed the waitlist bug yet?
01-24-2012 , 10:34 PM
Waiting list bug still on Genting

does anyone know a table mod package for iPoker (circus poker) thans better than that free one by ipokervip ~ i'd like table and card mods ideally. also i can't get that vip mod b/c Circus isnt listed as a site that viptracks, and if it was i already have a RB deal setup so???

Hi Guys,

Made a very brief blog post with some nice photos of the new iPoker tables.

Not the best quality, but I hope you find it interesting at least.

The tables can be themed now, different chips and generally just looks like it might be a lot easier on the eyes.

As for late reg: I know this is planned, but didn't get a chance to check out if it was on this version as it only showed cash game tables.

-The wait for BB post feature is bad. You have to click wait for BB then also post BB then also auto post pop up. The other option is in the 6 seconds you have to click post BB you can click auto post check box. Make something in the software that says auto post and auto wait for BB.

-All skins need to have a filter to filter out PLO and PLO8.

-How do you make a favorite game type?

*I play on Titan, as I understand all skins are pretty much the same but some have minor differences such as the PLO - PLO8 thing.
+1 for all of this, the bolded in particular, I hate the stars rewards system but they have me by the balls because iPoker software does my bloody head in, if they even fixed the bold i'd consider moving my play there

So iPokers only improvement is some sort of cloud thing to make iPoker a bit more facebooky, theres so much more they need to concentrate on!

Where is this expo or w/e it is you went to? Looks cool.

The square pods really make the site look terrible. They should just copy ftp pods and they would be laughing.

I dont care what the tables look like ... there are mods out there that can change themes ...

All i want is decent software ... do ipoker actually listen to what players would like ?

I question what ipoker reps actually talk about when they get together ....such a great time to do something positive with whats going on at Stars etc ....

I really wish i was a computer programmer ... i would get as many decent other programmers together and try and create our own poker room ...i mean how hard could it be ... and the rewards could be huge.

Last week there were two industry related conferences.

The one where we saw this was called 'ICE' which I assume stands for International Casino Exhibition.

As long as you're not an operator it's free to go to.

Agree to you completley on the seat pods. Hopefully it's something they look into - it's probably a fairly simple change.

I slightly disagree with this.

One of the major complaints I (and I assume iPoker) always saw were regarding the lack of re-themeable tables.

A lot of people said they should copy the Full Tilt tables and to be honest this appears pretty close to that.

Poker rooms with great software fail all the time. The challenge is attracting players, which costs a lot money. The average acquisition cost for a recreational player is said to be around $500 currently.

Building great software from scratch is of course achievable, but the poker networks have a much tougher job.

A good example would be if you went to a web designer and asked them how much to completely clone a website like iPokerVIP. You would probably get extremely close (depending on the designers) for $10k. Our site, however has cost many times this. We have to regularly update it, add new features and refining it is a constant process.

Building a brand new state of the art house is significantly easier than refurbishing and older one.

Sorry if it seems I'm defending iPoker - that's not the case at all. I would love to see them really take things to a new level and some of the new stuff has shown they have been listening to players. Maybe it's not as much as you would like, but some progress has been made and it's a little unfair to just point at something as complex as a piece of software that spans over 50 licenses and claim that a couple of lads could group together and crush it.

We can all agree that the network (along with all other poker networks) has a long way to go. We're coming to this thread to show you what improvements / changes are being made.

Do you have any idea on what the deadline is for iPoker skins to update, if there even is one? I've heard SunPoker and maybe 1-2 others have updated, but the vast majority haven't. A lot of the excitement I feel over an impending update is going to deflate if I'm still using the old lobby in August.
