DraftDay is proud to announce the 2012 DraftDay Championship Series.

With 24 events on the schedule, the DDC will offer some of the biggest prizepools in fantasy football and fantasy basketball, with over a $200,000 in total cash prizes.

The kickoff of the event begins Sunday December 9 and concludes with our flagship event on Sunday December 16: The $100,000 Main Event with $100,000 in prizes, hosted by the lovely Ms. Sara Jean Underwood (who will be drafting a team and playing in the Main Event as well).

The DDC will also have a custom leaderboard for it’s Player of the Series race including some great prizes:

- Dual Player of the Series leaderboards for each sport.
- If someone is able to win both the NBA and NFL Player of the Series leaderboards, they’ll win a $25,000 bonus
- Top 25 players on the NFL Player of the Series will play in a $1,000 freeroll
- Top 25 players on the NBA Player of the Series will play in a $1,000 freeroll
- Top 5 players on both leaderboards will have their own game named after them in the DraftDay Lobby
- Autographed Sara Underwood picture for both leaderboard winners

Some other highlights of the DDC include:

- $55 and $5 Heads-Up NBA Tournaments. Registration opens Thursday night 7:30p ET
- The first-ever DraftDay Rumble ($2.50 and $25 entry). The format for this is a 256 person game. The Top 25% of the field advance to the next day. Those 64 survivors play again and the top 16 advance. This is continued until a winner is reached.
- NBA All FLEX game – no position constraints, just build your best team possible with the salary cap
- A trifecta of Main Events. We understand that the $215 entry for the $100k Main Event may be out of some people’s budgets but we wanted to make sure everyone had the chance to experience the excitement of the DDC, so we’re also hosting a Mini and a Mini-Mini Main Event ($21.50 and $2.15, respectively).
