Hi all,

I am planning to make a Eurotrip this summer, and I will very much appreciate if you can help me out with some poker rooms where I will be able to play some soft NLH or PLO. I am looking for something like 1/1, 1/2, 2/2 action. Low stake donkaments also works well, as I just want to get some poker action and gather some information about poker rooms for the future.
Countries I am interested in are mentioned in the title.
However, if you know any poker rooms in the countries that are not mentioned, feel free to share them as well because the trip is just in a planning phase.

I have searched for other topics regarding my question, but the majority of them are quite old and I would prefer some up to date information

Thanks in advance,

The Netherlands: the 'Holland Casino' has casinos in most big Dutch cities. Amsterdam has the most games, but Rotterdam, the Hague, Utrecht or other cities are also fine. Main game is 2/2 NLHE but sometimes you'll find 2/4 or5/5 and also limit or PLO. Rake is high: 10% with a max of €10. Visit hollandcasino.nl for more info.

France: no experience myself, but I know most rooms/casinos will charge you some annual membership fee which might make it pretty expensive for just a single visit. Most mayor French cities will have a casino and Paris has various.

Austria: you have the national casino (www.casinos.at), or the Concorde card club (www.ccc.co.at). Both can be found at mayor cities. I've been the the casino in Vienna once. Can't remember much anymore, expect for the game being pretty short handed most of the time, but I think the ay of the week wasn't optimal.

Shoot me a PM for more info, especially about poker in The Netherlands.

regarding austria: the state run casino generally requires formal dress (jacket / suit / w/e) I worked at CCC salzburg for a year. The action is decent, but generally just plo nlhe 1/2 2/2 occasionally 2/4. Much more going on ac the Concord Card Club in Vienna though. Rake is also pretty decent at CCC, its more at state run casino. Lowstakes = soft.

I was just in Vienna, Austria. They play 2/5 NL nightly, starting at about 8:30 p.m.. The casino is on a main street called Kartner Strause. It’s mostly one full table. It seemed like they sometimes also have a second must move table. Sometimes they have tournaments. There are only 3 tables in the poker area.
The dress code (for men) is a collared shirt, long pants, and close toe shoes. There is a 2 euro fee to get into the casino. You have to show a photo ID. I’m not sure what the rake is, but I know it’s high. They took eight euro out of one pot.

I was also recently in Prague. There is more than one casino there. I played at Casino Ambassador – “New Town” area. They had two cash tables. I was playing the equivalent of $0.50/$1.00 NL. It seemed like they only play at night. I’m not sure the stakes at the other cash table.

If you're going to Austria you can drop by to nearby Croatia as well. Soft games at 1/1€ and 1/2€ stakes in Zagreb and Split, with bigger games available during the summer.
