Live hi/lo game, with a kill on a scoop over a predetermined amount.

Player A is all in for the main pot, there is a side pot, player B scoops the side pot which in itself is more than the predetermined amount for a kill, player A scoops the main pot which also contains enough for a kill.

Who do you think should post the kill? What do you think the rule should be?

A) Player A

B) Player B

C) Both players

D) Neither player

I didn't read the question before voting but I actually would say only Player A should post a kill.

On the app so can't vote, standard rule is that a player most win 100% of money in the middle to activate the kill...main and any side pots that had equal action (betting into dry side pot and not getting called does not constitute a pot for this purpose).

So no kill as both a and b won money at showdown

Most places I have been the Kill follows the Main Pot.

Players don't rule on this. House rules rule on this.

The general rule is that you only consider the Main pot.
I agree with that.

Consider:

A, B, C in pot.
A all in for 1000.
B and C put 1005 each into side pot.
B wins side, A wins main.

A has $2000 profit -- why shouldn't he kill?
B has $5 profit -- why should he kill, even though he "won" a $2010 side pot?

OR

A, B, C in pot.
A all in for 1000.
B and C put $10 each into side pot.
B wins side, A wins main.

Why should the existence of a $20 side pot negate A's responsibility to kill (PAhoser's position)?

Where I work, you need to scoop absolutely everything.

I don't necessarily agree with this, but that's the rule.
