How often do people muck hands that probably would have beat you? How often do people muck hands that probably would have beat you?

A fair amount flop and later. I try to get heads up with a player I know that can fold if I'm going to try any moves without a hand.

I wouldn't say many bet pots pre-flop though, just not my type of play at the games I typically play. Of course the standard position plays we all get folded to.

I love when they fold and show one that had me beat on the later streets.
I'll usually say "good fold" maybe then, or sometime later. I feel they believe me, because they want to of course.

I'm pretty sure it happened last night. Playing 1/2 and after a mid-large sized pot (like $150) where I made what I thought was a value bet on the river w/ AK on a K high board. Villian called and mucked his hand saying he had 86. After I was pushed the pot and the mucked cards collecting (making them truly irretrevable) V realizes there was an 86 on the board.
