As far as bonus whoring goes, does anything match Royale's monthly $500 promo? If you play it smart, you can qualify for that one with only about 40 hours of actual play.

Playing 150 hours for $500 should not be considered a bonus. It should be considered less than minimum wage.

50 hours on grave yard will get you this bonus.

Lol. True. But still consider the multiplier hours. Plus there's the dash for cash bonus. Which is $1k after 400 hours (multiplier hours dont count for this one). They both run at the same time, hours accumulate and aren't spent on the $500 may bonus.

Yo splash I'll be there in a few hours. See u there?

Except you don't have to play nearly that many hours, but I was actually looking for other good bonuses that might compare, as per my original post.

There aren't any. Royale rewards the grinders the best in the city.

On a side note: Heard the sprinklers went off at Capitol last night and they had to evacuate everyone. Anyone there let us know what happened?

I left Capital around 12:30, no sprinklers had gone off ... must have been later if true

FWIW, if anyone really wants to bonus whore, Phoenix will pay you $400 if you play there 40 hours in one week.

Haven't played Thunder Valley yet. Will give it try.

What is the rake at TV for $2/$5. No flop no drop? Rewards card (describe the comp if you know)? BBJP? Is the game soft?

(OT) I am interested in hosting a PLO game in Sac maybe once a month, let me know if anyone is interested (in order of not being accused of thread-jacking reply in the thread below):

TV 2/5 rake is $5 ($4 + $1). It is no flop no drop; stealing the blinds nets you $7. $1 per hour in comp awards, 7777+ cracked for BBJP (the quad amount needed goes down as time increases). AAATT+ cracked by 2222+ for small bad beat.

Games range from tight passive to semi-laggy depending on the players. Usually at least 50%+ tight regulars at 2-5 on a weeknight.

Thanks. Can I count on at least one full table going at all time from Friday night to Sunday night since I can only play on weekends?

Saw you there haha, I stayed there pretty long today. I had 3 solid fishes with deep stacks to my right.

Lost nearly a buyin trying to bluff this fish off on the river twice. I got his range/card right except he didn't fold... (calling down 3 barrels with second pair weak kicker and something else ridiculous..) Really my fault for leveling against obvious calling station.

Still ended up being up like a buy-in or something so I guess it was okay...
You looked like you had a pretty big stack.

Yes...From Friday night on. I can't speak to after 300am hours though. Seems to get a 2-5 going again on Sat-Sun around the time the tournament starts, perhaps 11am ish.

I was at Thunder Valley this morning 12am-4am playing the tail end of a 24 hr session. I was at two different bay area card room earlier yesterday until a couple poker buddies randomly asked if I wanna go to TV. Being the degen I am I agreed.

They had two 3/6FL, four 1/3NL, and two 2/5. Not bad for Sunday night Monday morning grave hours.

This is the first time I've been to TV. The drop is $4+$1. However, I swore that sometimes they drop $6. It took me a while to understand how they drop the rake.

Every hand on the flop they take $5 from the pot. First hand they only drop $1 jackpot and leave 4 blues on top of the slot. The next 4 hands they drop a redbird and a dollar until they run out of blues on top of the slot. On the 6th hand, they go back to dropping only $1 and leaving 4 chips on top of the slot.

What's up with that? Thunder Valley's too poor to buy $4 drop chips?

Please tell me if this is as bad as I thought it was at the time:

Yesterday @ Cordova casino. 1-3NL game. decent action nothing crazy. To summarize I just sit down and see what is a larger stack in front of a solid regular. No suprise there.

I forget the PF action, regular had rasied PF though, but there were 4 guys in the hand on the flop of AsJdQs. All check, guy in middle position he bets, regular raises everyone folds and mp shoves. Rregular calls. Now the board runs out A on the turn and Q on the river. No one flips there cards over and dealers says let's see them. MP thinks he is beat and says so. Solid reg says I called you, you show. MP flips over K 10 for flopped straight. Then reg flips over the MORTAL NUTS with AQ. Absolutely douchey move when you can't lose if you ask me. I just don't understand why people do this and expect not be thought of as an a**hole. Is this as bad as I think it is?

My suggestion to the regular if you read this is to not be such a HUGE DOUCHEBAG since you pissed off the fish at the table and they all said something about it. You have the nuts, just flip it over and take the huge pot. Then you just make fun of the guy who lost when you laugh in his face about calling your raise with K 10 to begin with. Grow the F*** up!

I was playing 1/2 @ Royale yesterday from maybe 5-9pm and there was like 3-4 5/10 players playing 1/2 w me waiting for the 5/10. Needless to say, action got kinda nutty.. Some 5/10 guy named Harlan? who seemed like an overLAG donk (maybe he just doesn't care since its 1/2) got up to what looked like $1500 or something continuously stacking ppl w random hands. Got really frustrating because action was so good but I was super card-dead and my live roll isn't big enough for me to play loose.. (nor is it really necessary since it's properly more profitable to just play the nit against these guys anyways..)

Going from 8 tabling 6max 200nl on stars playing 28vpip to trying to nit up 1 table of 9max live.. i really need something to control my impatience
