Their pretty solid overall but the evening ones are really boring. When theres a dealer change around 4am, theres some really good, funny dealers who make perk up the games a bit.
Not sure what the 2nd bit means.

one thing to note with the vic is that you do get free drinks / sandwiches, which maybe equals ~£2/hr in rb.

Sounds pretty sweet to me, alcoholic drinks or just soft drinks?

Lets invent a code word for London 2p2ers for the tables!

Its pretty bad when you look at like this but nobody will play 50/1 for a significant amount of hands. The dealer games are only £6 an hour but you get half the hands in, and the fact you'll want to cut yourself from the slow/bad dealing and the amount of trash talk that goes on. Its prob worth moving up to 1/2 or 1/3 if you plan on playing a lot. You definately pay less rake and the games are still as soft.
I think I could handle £30 an hour lol. I just want to go for the experience at this point but I can see myself getting addicted to live just like I am with online play.

The int have their own 'rakeback' scheme which works out to < £1/hour. Their wednesday night tournament is £200+10. And if you play in a game which lasts until the morning, ~7AM, they will often buy breakfast for everyone. I'm a semi-reg in their PLO game, I try to make it down once a week. Almost always rocking. Look for a game the dealers are playing in, if you can.

0900 is usual b'fast time, complimentary tea and soft drinks throughout the night can be good as ppl keep on playin when they should be in bed, either goes too ways tightens up or is spoon central

Do you guys recommend the Int over the Vic? What are the relative pros and cons of the two of them?

Or should I be looking elsewhere, maybe Empire? Only played live very occasionally, but got the br now so looking to become a semi-reg somewhere and comments will help!

Any good low-buy in deep stack tourneys around?

Also any recommended home games at around nl50/100?

The International does cash but it's biggest pro is its daily tournaments.

If you want cash games then it's the Vic or the Empire you need. Both are 24hour, the games at the Empire are softer (more tourists) but I much prefer the Vic as it's a much larger space, onsite secure parking, more game selection and generally a far better run cardroom.

the empire has some self-delat games not sure if this extend to 1/1 cash or only low level tournies

i would suggest trying out both the int and vic as both have pro's and cons, and kinda depends on what type of game style you like and how you play as to which suits best.

but for the int, cash game options will usually be available between 4pm till 6am outside these times then your pretty much relying on a bit of luck for ppl to be there (busted out of a tourney), this is for weekdays

^ Amen, unfortunately.

Ive never been to any of the London rooms, but may check out the Empire in the next month. Anyone know the situation with the Loose Cannon, their website seems to have a lot less emphasis on the poker almost non existant in fact.

I rang Loose Cannon yesterday, they reckon Poker is back in 2 weeks time and to keep an eye on the website, sounds like they're planning something.

Anyone fancy a 2p2 meetup at the international/vic sometime in the next few weeks?

I'm a London poker player, mainly a micro-cash and micro-MTT grinder online. I'm not properly rolled for any of the cash games in London, except the self-dealt PLHE at the International, but sod that.

I find the International more fun & relaxed than the Vic.

I believe there are less fish at the International since it's location is bad for passing trade.

Recently when I've been to the International there has been a lot of Omaha and not so much Hold'em. The omaha was unbelievably nitty and slow. Put me off, aside from the fact I'm bad at omaha.

p.s. I was at the Vic on friday night. There is a super hot estonian dealer (she might be a giant though)
