Thats me - now that I sit here going over the session, I butchered a few hands setting up me to make thin all-in calls. Oh well. Who were you?

I did too - and I agree. Poor turn-out though compared to the other time I went. You going to be at KOC tomorrow

Nice.

I was at the other table, sitting next to the Asian woman (I was not the 90 year old man on her other side). 20s, Orange shirt.

I left your table when it was 9 handed to help start the other one (because all the players at the other table were awful).

Ran into a funny hand in the last hand of the night:
I had $240 in the game (exactly even on the night) and joked that I was only playing if it was AA or KK.
-Asian straddles to 5. I call with TT thinking we'll all just limp in (like we'd done on plenty of hands) and maybe I can bink a set.
-Everyone calls and she makes it $15 more when it gets to her. I think about iso'ing but just call. BTN calls, fattie in the SB struggles and calls. BB calls (Oops).
Flop 9-5h-2h
Check, check, Asian bets $25, I call (I've seen her C-bet plenty and she always gives up on the turn, so I'll know if I'm good soon). BTN moves in for $35, Fattie in the SB shoves for $150...wat
-Folds to me. I tank and assume that given her taking a bit to call PF she probably has 9-5, 9-2, or 2-5 (She's also awful) and fold.
-Her 9-5 holds up against the BTN's flush draw and she attempts to explain why she called with 9-5 despite the fact no one asked.

I may get up to KoC tomorrow, but that game can be pretty tough, not to mention it's a half hour drive for me so it will totally depend on how I feel when I wake up.

Played at the legion tonight. Game was short handed, no more than 8, all night but not bad. Problem was that one player was on one of the most intense heaters I've ever seen. There was maybe $1800 in that room and he cashed out for $1200 of it. Was crazy to watch.

Plan on being at the South KoC game tomorrow around 6ish if anyone is going.

That blows.

Can't play this weekend, but happy to hear that KoC is going to host a pretty large prize pool tourney on Saturday. Should attract alot more people to the room that day.

Yeah I'll find out more tonight but I think it's the $325 (or near that) deep stack tourney

Welp shark doesn't gets to bitch about running bad for a while. Gets AKo to call three streets with no pair and a gutter and pay him off. Dude is my hero.

Lol, Tanner just give me a shove if I complain. I not only ran incredibly well, but I got paid off. Hand was unbelievable. I'm not sure if she thought I was bluffing or what??

Your hand reading skills are amazing btw.

Yeah I have zero idea what she was thinking, she did stupid **** like that all night. She played her hands face up and some people still insisted on calling her down. I took three or four pots off of her by calling when two of a suit hit the board and bluffing the third of that suit. Gave up every time.

Manged to bluff off $450 in what may well have been my most brain-dead moment in my 11 years playing poker. Was absolutely horrendous, no excuse. Stayed around after that and rebuilt the $40 I was left with (lol) into $300, so I only left down one buy-in...hooray!!

Good playing with you. I was there until we shut the game down at 8 AM. Bombay commented that he hadn't seen me play that late before and I joked that I had hoop dreams of being 21 again and wanted to see the sun come up...would not recommend

As an aside, it says something less than positive about our city that when a woman says "Oh no, the police found a dead body on a certain side of town." Shark has to respond with "What street?". Ouch

Yeah.....I'm work in law enforcement so I try to stay up on the latest metropolitan news, maybe I'm a little too eager.

So you played a solid 12+ hours and dug yourself half-way out a serious hole. Damn.

It was great playing with you and hopefully I'll be there Friday again. I might actually try and make KoC northside on the 22nd. Hmmm.....

Played in the Legion tourney tonight, chopped with 3 left for $200 (Buy in is $40).

Really love this tournament for what it is: A 40-60 person turbo. You start with 50 BBs and only head down from there, but no one seems to understand this fact. Had an actual conversation with a woman about whether or not the SB, with less than 1 BB behind after completing, would've folded to a raise...She obviously offered that he would've because "He's a pretty tight player"

Obviously the variance is huge because it's so shallow, but pots are so easy to steal it's almost criminally easy to chip up. Of the 40ish players there tonight, I would guess maybe 4 understood this. After the third or fourth level, everyone in the room is in shove/fold mode, yet you see so many limped pots it's tough to believe.

Just run decent early and build a stack that can afford to fold after a 3x open gets raised and you're golden.

Carried the flag at KoC since Shark wasn't there.

Had $200 behind and this guy who is absolutely bat**** makes it $15 UTG. Two calls to me in the CO, I call with 97o, everyone else folds.

Flop is 6-8-2r and he bets $50, folds to me and I jam for $185 total. He calls with 7-5 and always runs it's twice. First board runs out 9-8, second board runs out A-4

Poker is a sick game some times...

Sick game. Left $100 or so up. 1/3 played like 2/5. Avg stack was at least $750.

One of those games where it costs $15+ to see a flop and its five-way. Didn't want any part of it.

I'm heading out to Indianapolis in a couple of weeks for a couple of weeks. Where is the best place to play poker? I've never played at a PokerPro table and I wouldn't mind playing at one but I've heard so many bad things I don't know what to think.

What bad things have you heard? Its the same game, same players, same stakes. Just no physical chips or cards. Indiana Live is the only room that is going 24/7, but there are a few charity rooms that run games during the week. Check the rest of the thread for dates/times.

I assume you're speaking about everyone saying 'I take such sick beats'? I do see some bad beats or suck outs but I don't think it is anymore than playing live. You have to keep in mind that at those tables you will see 45 - I think yesterday we was getting 65 hands per hour or close to it. When at a live table you might get 20 or 30 ish if they are playing and not talking about what they did today, and how well the dealer keeps the action moving. I enjoy the e-ticket myself, I don't necessarily prefer them, but there's pretty decent action there. I've heard people say that they think the casino makes it where the worst hands win and what not to build bigger pots. I strongly disagree. The casino gets their cut whether The pot is 10 dollars or 10,000. Just don't make sense to me. I enjoy the speed and action of the games there but I will always enjoy being able to physically touch my chips and cards. It's more of a mental thing for me no where near the 'I take such bad beats'. I play there semi often. Plenty of live games around indy tho. Just what ever u prefer.
