that's a pretty narrow range. and why would you c/r for value (instead of just leading with a value hand) when the villian hasn't really shown strength yet?

it's good from a brute force perspective, but against a decent hand reader, i'm not so sure.

Well obv you are repping a boat as I dont think you would risk checking on this now draw heavy board if you had a random 6. After his call on the turn, it really looks like 89s, 6xs, or a disguised overpair. However, even if you knew he had one of these hands, i love your river shove (unless his 89s is clubs).

None the less, it seems to me you are a good enough player to find a better spot to either bluff or trap with a monster. Like chili implied, you have completely polarized your range to a bluff or a boat, as your value-betting range contains only about 4 hands. Since your bluffing range contains dozens of hands, I wouldnt blame the Vil if he calls with one of the hands he probably has (89,6x,QQ+)...

Actually I think you rule out overpairs, he most likely 3-bets PF so the blinds don't speculate.

im gonna say 44 or 58cc ut im leaning more towards 44.

Well if you put him on 88 or 99 or something other mediocre holding, you would not ship the river with 5c8c or 1010 so i rule those out...there's really no value there unless you think the bet would look bluffy to the vil - still, he cant call with 88 or 99 with two overs, a paired board, and flush possiblity. However, if by the river you changed you're read that he probably has a 6x or 89, then shoving with a flush or 2nd nut boat is very profitable.
In consideration of the manner in which you first explained the hand, I put you on a bluff so either the 44,AQ,or K4.
Also, Im guessing he called the river with a 6x sorta hand, possibly 89, and scooped.

5c8c is also a lot more likely for the vil to be holding after the tank call on the turn.

LOL, i dont get the point of guessing which hands he was bluffing with, he could be raising preflop and c-bet with any of these holdings. Ruling out the hands he could not have is much more interesting and relevant.

Lost $500 in 3/5 last night, soon as I sat down the table started breaking, lost $200 w. a bluff catcher against a boat, then saw the table breaking and shove 30bbs deep w. 69s against AK, played bad.

well started off bad. played 1/2 and lost 3 bis pretty quick. worst was guy calling my shove on the flop with A2 on 888 board, obv 2 on river.

then went to 2/2 and played pretty good, got my stack to 300. then chopped a big pot where i flop a str8 and guy turns one. then i lose 1010<QQ AI pf for 100 on a straddle pot then lose 99<KK vs the loosest guy on table. this guy was raising with all sorts of hand then would kinda talk sht after but seemed like a nice guy.

well lose 300 i leave, gonna try again tomorrow.

This place is such a joke now. Action is good, players are loose (depending on game, assuming mgmt doesn't f*ck it up or your not playing on the 3/5 with audrey, ed c, Mr. BBQ). Floor personnel including their "shift managers" have no idea what a valid or accurate decision is. I watched "shift manager" struggle to make a burn and turn decision the other day. Since this new guy "Mr. Commerce" came here he has ruined GWC for me the player. Tournaments suck now (Casey should still be running them). If the Aviator would park a bus outside the GWC i bet they would get a load of players to go there. I know i would I'm restricted to GWC to play unfortunately. I hate the fact the shift managers don't control the room and Jackpots are allowed to be paid when there is obvious rules broken IE discussing their hands while jackpot hand is in play, which changed the outcome. This place is the toilet now!!

I played at Golden West for the first time last night. After taking my seat at the only 2-2 game running I was pleasantly surprised to learn that I would be playing with the illustrious Glenda. After reading this thread, I was familiar with her reputation. Let me just say that she is 100% as advertised. I can only surmise that she must have been stunningly beautiful as a young woman. How else would one get through life with a venomous personality such as hers.

1. i left a lot earlier like 8 i think. I saw glenda just come in as I was leaving. At the time seat 2 was an older black man who runs hotter then the ****ing sun. Dude is sooooo easy to play but damn, he hits everything. I wish i could of stayed, there was a guy on the table i love taking money from.
