Live 12-24 Stud8

Seat 2 is the live player, completing/raising lots of hands.
Seat 4 is a laggy 2+2 winning player

3rd
Seat 1: [X X] 2 bring-in, folds.
Seat 2 : [X X] J completes, calls.
Seat 3 : [X X] K folds
Seat 4 : [X X] 6 raises, calls.
Hero : [A A] 6 3-bets.
Seat 5 : [X X] T folds
Seat 6 : [X X] 3 folds
Seat 7 : [X X] 9 folds
Seat 8 : [X X] J folds

4th
Seat 2 : [X X] J 8 checks, calls
Seat 4 : [X X] 7 4 bets, calls
Hero : [A A] 6 7 raises

5th
Seat 2 : [X X] J 8 5 checks
Seat 4 : [X X] 7 4 8 checks
Hero : [A A] 6 7 9 checks?

6th
Seat 2 : [X X] J 8 5 K checks, tanks and folds
Seat 4 : [X X] 7 4 8 K thinks and bets, calls
Hero : [A A] 6 7 9 Q raises?

7th
Seat 4 : [X X] 7 4 8 K [X] checks
Hero : [A A] 6 7 9 Q [4] bets?

Thoughts?
3rd/4th seem standard

5th not sure, Seat 4 has a dangerous board and this is a total brick and I'm not sure I'm an equity favorite against a likely pair of Jacks and most likely a made low that's free-rolling me.

6th I'm obviously representing a flush and trying to force out Seat 2 to improve my high chances

7th Not sure there's a value in a bet, as I should basically always be against a low here. But there is some chance I am against a set/2 pair, but then am I getting c/r'd (when filled up) or folded? I almost always have a flush here.

Fifth is certainly a bet

*beginner stud player here -- just my thoughts -- probably wrong *

Since we've got a hand that's going high vs a likely low hand and surely high hand, seems like we'd want to keep that other worse high hand in to try to win half of his money. Aren't we concerned the raise on 4th would push the other high hand out of the pot?

Seat 4's check on 5th makes me think he doesn't have a low, maybe he's paired his 8? Unless he's concerned his 87lo is a dog to your 76lo draw. I'm definitely betting when checked to.

On 6th, again, do we play better HU or multiway? At this point having not improved beyond aces but with a flush draw, are we concerned about protecting our high equity? Maybe even a raise would get seat 2 to fold bad 2 pair (I'd think unlikely if he's a loose player).

On 7th, you probably don't get any lows to fold but you're getting called by Khi flushes , straights, probably trips hoping you're playing a rivered low this way. If he had trips on 5th, why didn't he bet? So you're worried that he burried kings that made trips on 6th. Would burried kings raise on 3rd? They might even 3bet on 6th. Then if he does have trips, lots of his 4s, 7s, 8s are dead. I think too nitty to check back.

5th is a bet, 6th is a call, and there shouldn't be a '?' on 7th.

Its a raise on 4th zoog because we caught too well for both our hand and our range. Plus the pot is decent sized, so getting hu with a low draw with this hand leaves us in great shape. Getting an overcall from the second best hi is good, getting hu vs the low draw is better, getting a cold call from second best hi is icing on the cake.

bet 5th, as played I raise 6th to knock J out and also for value. 7th is definitely a bet but if you mistyped the hand and have only AA instead of Ahi flush it is a x/call.

Like everyone said, 5th is a standardish bet, even if opponent(s) have made a lo a lot of good things can happen with our hand (like making a better 7 lo) and our board is strong enough that we shouldn't get punished too hard

7th street is an obvious value bet. When it gets checked through on 5th, your "always against a low here" almost certainly paired. You get value from trips and two pair hands that will call and sometimes even a worse flush that might raise you.

If it's me on 5th I bet and HOPE seat 2 calls and I get raised by seat 4

high vs high vs low, punish that guy man. don't let him draw for free.

BTW looks like seat 4 started 3 low hearts, and now bets 6th with his draw. I like the raise, even if you hadn't started flushing.

Obviously bet river. Bet/raise or bet/call? My guess is it's only bet/call because he can have AK flush or more often just a low.

doh. bet 5th. only goods thing that can come from this bet. even in case seat 4 made his low your equity can't be bad. if it is a missed low or trap: even better. charge seat 2. if he has anything other than the last two jacks in the hole he is really not in a great spot...

as played 6th is a call imo to keep fishy in. you improved, but are going hi only now. board from seat 4 did not change. lock on lo for worst case. seat 2 in terrible shape.

ez bet/call 7th. as played a raise from seat 4 would be too scary to 3bet.

I think our high is too good to be checking, especially since the action player could easily call/call when behind. HU and 5th is closer.

Bet 5th. You're not getting raised, and your aces are likely good. Though you're behind on the low side, if your opponent misses his low draw you may scoop. Your two-pair draw is not great though. Your bd flush has only one spade missing.

The river is an easy bet/call as an ace-high flush beats two pair and is sometimes good for all of it. You may get raised by a strong low (though only a 7 is possible), or a low straight, so you're likely getting half if raised. There are more scoops than getting scooped.
