<3 Rusty, this is very exciting, but I thought Stud Inspector was hush-hush verboten, so how come dead card tracking is now kosher?

I don't know, is it? I know of at least one tracker that works with PS that I think is on their approved list. My program doesn't seem to violate FTP's or PS's ToS although that's a matter of interpretation since they both seem to refer to programs that give an "unfair advantage" or something like that. In the case of FTP I'm not showing anything you can't see in the chat window...

A few months ago I PMed and emailed FTP about it and no one ever answered me. If I get contacted by a rep from FTP saying that they forbid it, then I'll remove it as a feature. I did an informal poll on 2+2 at the time. Some people were against it, some were for it, the majority seemed to be pretty ambivalent about it.

Personally I'm in the gladly use it and leave morality to somebody else camp, but I'm sure a few people got banned from FT for using stud inspector and I got the impression even the name was unmentionable on the forums at one time. That said I expect things have relaxed as realism has set in so I guess things are cool if that's what your research suggests.

Does stud-inspector do real time hand simulation or something? Because I know FTP frowns on that

If you mean actually advising what move to make, yeah I think it pretty much goes that far; I didn't bother buying it but iirc there's like a traffic light system or something. I just assumed that a) that part was probably worthless and b) it was the memorising upcards part that was the problem, but I could be wrong on both counts.

I have some problems to get it started.

Postgres:
I think it is already installed, because i use HEM also and i think therefore its installed as default.

However, if i click in PTS Utilities-Postgre Settings this box appears. (i cant convert my database 'cause it stats i must adjust Postgre Settings first).

I think the marked spot is the problem. There is nothing to select.

So whats my line ?
Im afraid that if i download Postgres and install it (again ? - HEM might have done this before) i might have problems with my HEM databases.

Yeah, this has come to my attention before, I can't really tell what the deal is, but here are some threads from pokertracker about it:

http://www.pokertracker.com/forums/v...hp?f=29&t=5669

Actually this one looks better but I'm not sure:
http://www.pokertracker.com/forums/a...ic.php?t=24880

Basically I've never had this problem or had to fix it, but those 2 things pop up on the PT forums.

I'm using the Access version. In the image below, the 2d and 6c of the players in Seat 5 and 6 are not showing in the dead card tracker.

The tracker reads the cards from the chat window, and they basically scroll by too fast in the regular chat window for it to catch them. So you need to detach chat, and have about 8-9 lines visible. You can make the chat font as small as possible so it doesn't get in the way. You should avoid putting other stuff on top of the chat and taking it away because it will act as if the uncovered lines of text were just re-issued.

You can put the chat window *almost* off your screen but not quite. The important thing is that windows keeps updating it. Unfortunately I just don't know a better way to read cards from FTP aside from screen scraping, which I do not want to do.

hi, I'm having problems also. I,m using PTS on UB. I finally got postgres to work with PTS. had to uninstall and reinstall both. but its working now, and converted my database to postgres.

when I start polling Pokertracker the table shows up in the main window with stats and all, then I right click on the table and click on HUD and nothing happens.
no HUD no card tracker. I,m using windows XP PRO.

any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

thanks for all your work, this looks very usefull, if only I can get it to work.

I can't handle it Rusty; too much stuff on my screen to look at that isn't the game!

And what I mean by that is that its tough to look at the nudie pictures when I'm not in a hand with a HUD over it

I'll give it a check later today. UltimateBet is different from FTP, PS, and most other sites that I've tried because of the way they put titles on their table windows. The HUD has to "find" the table by it's table title and if they've changed that or I mucked it up accidentally then I'll need to fix it. I'll get back to you shortly.

So you want me to include a porn viewer in the HUD? Or you don't like the one that's already built into it?

Hmm never seen that one. I'm in an airport now but I'll try to check it out in the next day or so. What's your operating system?

Hi Rusty,
I think I managed to make the Access version work for FTP. However, the HUD stats are all over the place and I do not know which one belongs to whom. I have the "auto-center" option clicked on FTP, so I am always in the middle of the screen, no matter where I sit. Is this the source of the problem. I tried to unclick it, but still I could not figure out the stats.
Also, the card tracker for some reason is always on the upper left section of the screen blocking the regular FTP buttons there, and it does not look like the pictures posted by some others at all: It is smaller and have some strange numbers below (like 100, 7 etc.). Moreover, I could not find a way to move it to anywhere else on the screen. What do you think is going on?

Also, thank you very much for creating this HUD.

Sincerely,

You can move the tracker by moving your mouse over it, "grabbling" the blue parts, and dragging it where you want it. As long as you do save the config file or exit cleanly it'll remember for next time.

You can move any of hte stats by left-click-dragging them. Middle-clicking will show who the stat is for. If stats don't line up over the right person click on ">>" in the top left (the card tracker may be covering it?) and it'll open up and you can use + and - to rotate the player stats, or right click on the one above your seat and choose "put me here". Right click on any stats and choose "save positions" when you have them located how you like them. The reason it probbly looks jumbled is that they have my preferred settings which are for very small tables.

I tried this on iPoker and the HUD is not recognising the tables.

Thanks again.

I'll send you a screenshot after I get home from work, and sorry, no, it's not a US-friendly network.

I just uploaded a new version, 0.31, which may fix ipoker. It also fixes UB for me - but, btw, I load UB hands through the ABS loader in PT stud and omaha, because the UB one doesn't work for me any more. Maybe there's been an update for that? Anyway, I *think* it should work if you are loading them as UB or ABS anyway.

The problem with UB/ABS was that they save the table names in the HH in all uppers, but the window title is not all upper. --> the fix is to re-case the table names

The problem with ipoker is, the table windows start with your name, instead of the name of the table. --> the fix is to alter the table name search to accept windows that have the table name somewhere in them, but not at the beginning.
