Been at the table for about 100 hands no real reads except all three villains hadn't done anything crazy and they've been chatting alot and seem like they know each other so I assumed they were regulars and somewhat decent. I don't play much razz but this hand seemed like it was really wierd how it developed. Tell me how awful I played it.

Fold 5th. Even with the pot odds you still shouldn't call

The call on 5th is okay IMHO, because you're closing the action, both Seat 3 and Seat 4 sweetened the pot for you, Seat 7 very often has at best a 4-card 8, and you're drawing very smooth and very live.

After that, the hand plays itself. A value raise on the river wouldn't be out of the question, because Seat 7 only had 5 possible ranks of cards that could have given him a winner on the river, and some of those ranks are pretty dead (9s, 6s, 4s) -- and because he really has to pay you off even if he didn't improve on the river. That being said, I'd usually chicken out myself and just flat call like you did.

Fifth is a fold. The pot is almost never big enough to justify going for runner-runner. The rest looks OK, although I'm not sure about the call on the river.

I agree. Almost always, two bricks and I'm gone - but once in a great while calling with a three-card hand is a reasonable gamble.

Now, taw said he doesn't play much Razz, so I think it's important to say that normally this is a suicide donkey play. I'm not sure if OP did this because he is inexperienced or because he was savvy enough to see it really was a reasonable call.

So, taw - DON'T DO THAT - except very rarely in a case like this.

Thanks for all the replies guys. It doesn't show it but I timed down on fifth and almost folded but the way everyones board looked it appeared they were bricking pretty hard too and I just thought it was very close so I called given it was a multiway and soon to be large pot. On the river I was pretty sure he had a J lo but was to scared to raise and just flat called. I don't play much razz maybe 5k hands lifetime on stars and ftp 1-2 to 3-6 so I just wasn't sure if this was as close as I thought it was. Thanks again.
