The game has no bring in, no ante. Regular 5/5 blinds with a straddle or mississipi sometimes. It's a very loose game.

We choose our doorcard on 3rd and discard 2.

Max bet/raise on 3rd is 20 or pot (if pot is less than 20)
40 on 4th
60 on 5th
80 on 6th
100 on 7th

5/5 9 handed

I have TTTA7 UTG
I raise to 20 TT(T)
My hand is face up but I still think this is the best option.

Do I want to raise or limp some Txx hands in that spot?

The only combos "playable" are JT9 suited or QJT suited but I think folding on 3rd is the best option.

Superstud really sucks when you're not shorthanded...

Not sure of the structure. Can someone raise your 20?

Yeah what can you do. You could also have AAT or AKTs or some such.

I don't think that should be possible in roll your own

Good point. I mean, trips are too strong to fold. So don’t fold.

yeah was kinda thinking you could go AAT rolling your card but eh

you get way more out of putting the ace on top for the times you can rep low cards and force a hand off incorrectly. seems way more valuable than balancing your rolled up tens. definitely more common.

i mean this is super. anyone with a bit of competence will understand a hand is rolled up after just a bit of time in that hand. so play it face up, get max value, and forget about balance.

Rolling a Ten is like handing out business cards that say "Three Tens," but so what. You have a couple of pretty good blockers and can play this hand fast if boards break well for you. You are unlikely to get in the middle but if you fill you can make life hell for the second best hands. Of the one-way hands, this one should be fairly easy to play.

yeah. i started doing a lot better in poker once i began to correctly play stronger and shirk balance as necessary.
