bet 4th.

He probably called you down figuring you had at least 1 brick in the hole when you checked on 4th. Then again it is 1/2 and more likely he's just a moron that likes to make hero calls and brag about it when he wins 1 out of 20 times.

surprised noone has mentioned check 5th, you can do this and be happy c/c or c/f and then c/r later in a similar spot.

Yeah, you are probably right because I cannot see a guy calling with a T folding a 8 at 5th: c/c c/f are the better options there!

Actually villain will win 1 out of 8 times if hero has completely random hole cards. Still, getting 6.4:1 on the river it's a horrible call by him. Hero should have bet 4th ldo, and maybe by betting the whole way he could have bluffed the river successfully? If villain is just a complete station then I agree hero shouldn't even bother semibluffing and just value bet when ahead, check when behind.

I think after calling 6th villain is calling all 7ths. He clearly wants to look you up.

If he is, he's pretty bad. On 6th he is drawing live regardless of what hero has in the hole. On 7th he has so little equity vs. three random cards that even if hero was playing the hand blind and would bluff 100% on 7th with a KJ or worse, villain still doesn't have odds to call.
