First of all I am not that experienced in Razz, but I want to learn it

I think villain in this Hand is solid player.

I have two questions about this hand;
1. is this spew on 3rd Street? with (Q7)3? 3-handed and with 2 in the door versus 8 and K I think I can probably try to steal here, is that a legit play in razz?

2. Should i give up on 5th Street? I thought the T is not that good for him, but the J for me wasnt good as well. So i think it makes sense to give up here? Because we only had the plan on 3rd street to steal?

Sup man, yes with two cards less than an eight and with a good card up versus a higher low card (that will hardly ever reraise you) this is a good raise

Don't go too nuts in short handed games though because there are not a lot of antes to chase after.

Clear fold on 5th, you have the worst hand and the worst draw. That means it's time to go home.

Read Sklansky on Poker if you want to learn Razz

I give up on 5th, maybe even give up on 4th when you pair. But I don't think villain is a solid player, defending his King bring in.

I like the bet on 4th because usually for the K to defend that high card he needs very two cards in the hole, so he might have a deuce and have to fold. Although that chance is slightly lower since we have a deuce.

Also betting does not show weakness which will allow us to win the pot more often on 5th had the cards fallen better.

But yes, I agree the K should have not defended

When can you defend with two low cards in the hole and a high card up? Is the issue that the king is too high or the 76 are too high or should you just never defend these combos?

Imo the king is too high, the 76 is too rough, and short handed pot so there are not that many antes

And the OP is not even in the last stealing position

Oh and no duplicated cards to boot

Yeah, a King is almost never defensible IMO, that's a good part of why razz is honestly kind of a silly game. But the things that could lead it to be defensible that Scotch mentioned are all absent here.
