I watched a video which said you should not limpraise in superstud, Like if you have an 8 in the bringin, if you raise against a complete, your hand can be narrowed to AA8, 888, or 3 low cards with a 3-flush. I assume that applies to HU pots at 50/100 or higher live games.

I played a little 10/20 mixed limit superstud and 5-card Omaha. Most hands were 3 to 6-way limped or single-raised pots. In those, I would raise or reraise with rolled up, aces with a low card, low 3-flush, ace with 2 wheel cards and a 2-flush, and 3-straight and 2-flush, figuring I was well ahead of some of the marginal hands opponents must be playing. Is that the correct approach?

Most people play way too loose. They came to play, not fold marginal hands that are barely playable in regular stud8. So you should steer clear of the 632 rainbow junk most everybody else plays, and normally play your higher quality hands for raises. Big exception is when a big card raises, which usually means rolled up. Reraising and getting it headup against rolled up is never going to be the right play.

It's another topic, but I might limp in late position with 632,r in superstud/8 getting good pot odds. If I hit an ace, 4, or 5 on 4th street, I would have a good hand, and I could fold to a bet on 4th or 5th if I did not get good cards. I wonder about that in regular stud/8 also, what to limp with in loose/passive low to mid stakes games.

The thing about superstud is unless someone is really terrible, everybody has a decent hand, which means sometimes 632 might be a pure pot odds negative against 345 and A26. However, depending on the skills of your opponents, you may be getting great implied odds against horrible opponents, even if you are still just trying to get lucky against the odds.

Instead of thinking about the direct pot odds of the cards, think about the implied odds of the situation against the exact opponents. Playing a marginal hand that can get lucky against a spewer is great. Playing a marginal hand against a good player with better cards is just -ev/get lucky play.
