Can someone explain how Pineapple Stud w/3 down cards work? I'm assuming everyone gets 3 down cards, and chooses 1 to turn face up. Is there no discarding though? I see the games that the Wynn spread and i'm familiar with all of them except these Pineapple stud w/3 down cards variants.

At the Wynn game you do not choose your upcard. You are dealt an upcard and 3 downcards then must discard one downcard before 4th street.

When I played "super stud" we got 4 downcards, not 3.

You can do 3 4 down or even roll your own. I would lean to calling all stud super vs pineapple.
