So now that I'm in Omaha and need to get new license plates, which ones should I get?

1. "3FJP24" - This is my current (VA) license plate; this was Homer Simpson's license plate in the episode "Mom and Pop Art": after the wagon full of BBQ pit grill wreckage pulls Homer's bumper off of his car, it is returned to him, and in the scene on his doorstep, you can see this license plate along with a "single 'n' sassy" bumper sticker.

Aside from the Simpsons reference, I like this license plate b/c it doesn't actually look like a custom license plate.

2. "PLOMAHA" - I think this could be fun to drive around Omaha with.

3. "CHIPS" - Since Nebraska is a 7-letter state, I can't get "CHPSAHYA". I think just "CHIPS" would be much better than something like "CPSAHYA", which seems like I'd be trying too hard. I haven't decided if I'm vain enough to do this, though.

Dark horse 4th option:

Back when I fantasized about winning a bracelet, I thought that if I bought a new car w/ the $$$, I'd have to get the winning hand on the license plate. Still have the same car, but now have the option of "3A8223K"

Also in shortly before hopefully epic trip trip report thread on my trip across the country with special guests electrical and oscillator.

I've always thought a custom license plate that would be make it hard to get a ticket would be cool. Like 00O0OO0 or 1I1II1I, where the cop writing the ticket wouldn't really be sure it would be read and recorded properly, and you know nobody down the line would care.

I mean, that's what I'd do because I have a criminal heart.

xkcd called, they want their comic from a week or two ago back:

http://xkcd.com/1105/

you know, though, for camera tickets and stuff, not actual crimes, I wonder if that would actually work.

Funny you should mention it.

When I see this Whitesnake video with Tawny Kitaen flopping around on the hood of the Jaguar I sometimes think that this must be the life that Electricals living beyond the Swingo and Razz.

Some of you youngsters around here may not even know who Tawny Kitaen actually is but I when I was younger I found her totally hot.

My friends and I spent hours in the eighties trying to figure out if there was a nip slip in this video.

Massachusetts blows for vanity plates.

Taken from the MassDOT website

"Vanity plates can be ordered for private passenger, commercial, motorcycle, livery, bus, camper or antique vehicles. All vanity plates must begin with two letters. The plate can be no more than six characters, or a maximum of five characters for motorcycle plates. Vanity plates cannot have letters and numbers intermixed. For example: "MY65MG.""

Boo.
10-02-2012 , 03:30 PM
As of the first of this month, "MAKE 7" may be available for order. Please submit an application or call our telephone center to confirm availability.

Note: Because "MAKE 7" is 6 characters, it is not available as a motorcycle vanity plate.

Wow Massachusetts is a bunch of ****ing nits? Who knew? Srsly though wtf, that's an extremely stupid rule...

Will you be submitting an application?
