I play in a local dealers choice game where the guys are happy to play as many games as you like, BUT will only play NL.
I've tried to get them to play limit, half pot limit and even straight up pot limit to no avail. I also suggested we deal 4th and 5th Street together so at least there's only 4 rounds of betting by they don't like that either.
These games really don't work big bet but I still play them as I feel I have an edge with this group.
So, being forced to play these games, what's some general strategy? All I can come up with is playing extremely tight on 3rd.

Any stud games I've ever played as PL or NL have employed 4 betting rounds, exact same as any flop game, with 4th & 5th streets dealt together. A 5th betting round is going to bloat the pot practically every time there's a confrontation.
Also, 7th street gets dealt up on in PL/NL stud game. Without those adjustments, I'm going to want 3 cards 7 or lower in razz before I even think about mixing it up if my opponents are frisky. Razz is way tougher than straight stud to play with a big bet structure, IMO, due to the fact your hand can get WORSE as the hand progresses, whereas stud is about improving your hand.

32 Red used to run a daily NL Razz tournament. I'm pretty sure it had 5 betting rounds but can't be sure. I just checked their website and can't see it listed currently and I don't appear to have any hand histories saved so unable to confirm.
I would think you would be at a massive advantage in these games if you have a rudimentary understanding and can handle the potential variance.
