I'm playing the smallest stakes available on ACR for practice, .04|.08 Stud8. Bring-in is .03 and completion is .04.
Should I have an open-complete range at all from any position?
My reasoning against is that the size of the completion is insignificant compared to the bring-in. The field can not easily be thinned, we can't get much value and we give away information about our hand. We will never steal because the bring-in is getting such tremendous odds to see 4th.
The only reasons I really see to complete is that cold-callers are threaten with being squeezed, so they might fold some weak holdings with equity. Also, raising allows us to jam if we can get someone to cooperate with us in a big multi-way pot on 3rd.
The competition is horrible, so I think I'll move up soon despite being pretty new to the game.
