Good low stakes razz in LV? Good low stakes razz in LV?

Wondering if there are any good low stakes razz games in LV. Going to be there the 2nd week of june for the milly maker. Played before on stars, but can't find a live game outside of LV. I know there's a tourney at Binons on the 8th, but not sure if I'll make it for that. I'll be keeping an eye on bravo but wasn't sure if someone knew of a room that regularly runs it already.

I'm pretty sure there is nowhere in the world that has razz games regularly. I have seen them listed at the WSOP side games, but even that was very rare. Your best shot would be as part of a mixed game, but straight razz is becoming rare even in those.

Sat Jun 23 - PH Phamous Tournament - $300 Razz
Sun Jun 24 - WSOP - $1,500 Razz
Wed Jun 27 - WSOP - $10,000 Razz

Ways for US players to practice in advance? Limited. HORSE games are your best opportunity. I have never played in a RAZZ tournament but may try the PH Phamous option when I am in town for that week. Not sure I'm ready to drop in on the $1500/$10000 events and see how I match up with Hellmuth, ODB, Obst... Have the bankroll for $1,500 event but not sure I am not just lighting money on fire.

If you're not up for buying into the $1,500 event for cash, go to the RIO satellite area starting the day before the $1,500 Razz (so June 23), and you can play Razz single table satellites. Razz satellites don't run often, but they do run, mostly for about the 24 hours leading up to the $1,500 start time.

It's not low stakes, it's $215. And it's a turbo structure. You'll have 15 minute rounds and only 1,000 starting chips. Adjusting to the structure can be tough if you're not constantly paying attention to the pot size. Winning is probably 75% luck and 25% skill -- and the skill isn't sitting and waiting for premium starting hands, it's adjusting your range according to pot odds and reading your opponents.

Win your satellite and you will have tournament entry chips to play the $1,500, or if you want to cash out at that point, they can be sold.

If you do see cash Razz played at the RIO during the WSOP that's not part of a mixed game, it's likely to be $20/$40 or even $50/$100, and at least some of the players involved are probably Razz specialists (and therefore will be tough competition).

I like playing HORSE. While Razz is probably the game I play least, I like it in the mix. Looking forward to playing in the June 8th Tourney. Usually end up at an O/8 table when playing cash.
