Plz, they also had 2 outs for trips plus lots of runner runner full house possibilities. You add all that up and you get YAHTZEE

yeah i came 8th out 50 in the $8 stud hi satellite with top 2 getting in. was 4th in chips before this hand and effectively only one hand away from second.

i played this hand terribly.

villian had been caught stealing twice in the previous 10 or so hands so i thought he's a fair chance to have something big concealed because he couldn't afford to get caught again whilst just a pair of 7's isn't that strong with jacks and an ace behind him....

the only street i'm happy with was 4th. i was pretty sure i was going all the way here anyway so i wanted to get rid of seat 8 so i achieved that. and by just calling third i could now be representing a four-flush and if the flush card hit's fifth there's a good chance he'll fold one pair. in fact in a disastrous hand i was really happy with this raise - it gave me a lot of cards to hit on 5th street that i could make him fold to (Jack, four, or any spade he's got to be wary of)

on 5th i should've raised again. probably wouldn't have changed anything though.

on 6th i knew i was in trouble when he paired. even though i could now represent the flush it didn't matter. and with less than 1 big bet remaining i just had to hope he completed with 7's and had 7's and 6's (instead of kings or aces up) and give me a chance of the resuck.... didn't happen (not required anyway as he hit the boat on the river)

the entire hand is so much easier if i had've re-raised him on 3rd. big chance i'd have just taken the pot there. as soon as i hit the call button i regretted it.

Botched this hand up horridly, but was saved by Plan CeeGee. I will say the villian had A28 rainbow to start though . . . .

Do you have to have pokertracker? Would you prefer the person to be a stud hi player? (I play razz and have virtually NO experience with Stud hi)... or would you take the challenge of coaching someone up from ground zero/ the basics of the basics?
02-07-2009 , 05:35 AM
can you coach me how to play razz at the same time? if yes im interested.

Ceegee, in your opinion, what is more profitable.. Razz cash or Stud Hi cash. I understand your answer may be bias because of your results and success in the Stud hi game, but do you have any reasons why Stud hi might be more profitable?

I wouldn't say perfectly. You caught an awful card on 6th... A card which didn't even help your hand but convinced your opponent he was drawing dead.

Stud 8

But seriously it's tough. I haven't played enough razz, but I can imagine both being profitable but stud hi being more so if you have a big enough edge.
If you have players get out of line in razz then razz would be more profitable imo
