to my recollection FT did, but stars did not. of course that was years ago so i can't say for sure nowadays.

shouldn't take long to figure out on your own, if a straight-forward player shows down what would be a silly hand if it wasn't shuffled then it's probably shuffled

why don't you check in with chip reese (may he rest in peace) who wrote the stud hi section of super system. also check in with todd brunson who wrote the stud 8 section of ss2. check the stud variant of poker on wikipedia.

I thought Chips was joking, I think it's clearly hole cards, ace in the hole is a pretty common term, this 1951 movie is called Ace in the Hole, not Ace in the Hold

I gotcha, maybe not the best example then. But your hidden cards that you have in Stud have been referred to as hole cards throughout poker literature for past 100 years

Anyone is free to call them whatever they want though, but referring to them as hole cards has a lot more precedent especially when it comes to Stud

Also in Holdem for Advanced Players there is a chapter called, Playing Pairs in the Hole
