So I know a pretty large percentage of the posters/lurkers play HU Sng's either as their main game or from time to time.

When you, or your opponent, get down to 3-5 BB's, how does this effect your completing range/Calling range? (I'm assuming as blinds get bigger like 100-200 or above, but I guess any situation applies to some degree)

When I'm the big stack, outside the super obvious ones, I fold almost all of my normal completes unless I have a strong 10 or better.

My calling range is usually around the same depending on villains habits.

What do you guys do? Any specific range, BB number before you change your strategy that you guys use or have questions about?

IMO this pretty much locks a HU win. They may double up uncontested in 5 hands until they are committed with K(9-9-) to your 3 card 9.

I will rarely fold anyything to a bring in before 80/160.

I will fold junk A's to 7's BI at the 150/300 level.

I will have no shame folding on 3rd after completing with a (J+6-6-)

However this is very much from memory and not rules I follow.

but seriously... you have to be careful on your completes when the bbs are super high as villain will have little to no fold equity. but with even stacks around say 100/200 i actually try to amp up my aggrsvness because stealing at these limits is VERY helpful. if i get caught, i just ditch it and go back to chipping away at his stack. I dont see any reason to get super nitty though when bets get higher.

For calling i disagree that it should be the same when limits are low.. i tighten up my defending a lot when the bbs are obnoxiously high. having one or two bad defends in a row will destroy your stack when the limits are high.
