No idea what the name means, 9.5% ABV.

My local home game that goes off semi-regularly serves PBR. The host enjoys his Sierra Nevada Pale Ale best, but in the interest of providing a cheaper, lower alcohol brew for poker night, he's moved to Pabst (in the can, of course).

Works for me.

I'm a firm believer that cheap beer deserves a roster spot on my life team. On a hot summer day workin in the yard, nothing is quite as refreshing as an ice cold bottle of Coors Lite. Maybe it's just something about those blue mountains that does it for me, I don't know. Sometimes drinking a case of beer and not feeling a buzz can be very refreshing. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy good beer too, but the heavier it is, the more difficult it becomes to slam em back. If you want something good to drink that'll also get you drunk, drink some 20 year Pappy Van Winkle... mmm mmm good.
03-13-2010 , 03:36 PM
I tried a Pabst several years ago and found it exceptionally harsh. I *can* drink Bud, Miller, etc., I just don't see any reason to.

My hot-weather drink of choice is gin & tonic. As for drinking a case of beer and not getting a buzz--a buddy reports doing just that when our buddy Pedro got married a year or three back. Why would you want to, though? Do you really enjoy urinating that much?

lol axis has gone from 50/100 to 30/60 to 15/30 to 8/16...now he's down to 2/4. Amazing that he can burn through 30k so quickly.

For hot weather drinking I like red stripe or maybe something like dos equis. Hmm, or maybe a nice nut brown ale. I think I'm going to go get a beer.
03-13-2010 , 05:51 PM
Really should have three bet fifth shouldn't I? But anyway, his case three on the river still smells, though I suppose he did have ten outs.

Though what I of course mean is that I've buggered up the hand history completely, but 7th went bet call too and he caught a three on the river for quads, so did not have the boat or quads I was scared of till then. A plague upon his house. And I've just been outflushed in a stud 8 hand too by a guy who started with T9Q. This is deeply sub-optimal.

Not that it's any of my business but last i saw he was at 8/16 so i was kinda surprised(not really) to see him at 2/4...was hoping he just cashed out a bunch and was playing reasonable limits and that he hadn't blown it all. He used to chat to me...he didn't say one word our entire session so he may not be in the best state of mind :/

and as I speak he's paying .055/.10 plo and a 3$ hurazz sng

You will see his mini ftops entry be unregistered too i assume.

And he is now playing $2 nlhe super turbos.

edit: Just watched him go from $2 nlhe super turbo Loss, to $3.50 Loss, to $14 Loss, to $28 Loss, now at $42. I cant get in his games quick enough tho, as soon as he registers they fill.

+1 to the red stripe... I just got back from Jamaica 3 days ago. I drank... well, not sure, but more than several (am I allowed to say ****load here?) of them.

LOVE the red stripe. I got a cool bamboo red stripe shot glass too.

And all the low stakes guys keep asking him why he is playing so low..lmao Tilting him even harder i assume.
