But 3-betting 4th after getting check-raised is just bad, isn't it?

EDIT: Note that if Hero's range to check-raise 4th is any four card T-8 or better (all of which are favored over Villain), then Villain is about a 49:51 dog on 6th street, and capping just increases variance and might have some small "tilt equity" but is otherwise not really needed.

i realize as villain were a v small dog on 6th ( but thanks ) although we gain equity by having control over the 7th st bet, so i dont mind capping 6th since the times we lose we dont lose that extra bet that we get in for all the times we win. this is actually one of my favorite 6th st spots.

4th i dont mind by villain since hero underrepped his had. obv there are the few and far betweeners that will cap their crappy hand just because theyve got the ten showing and other dude has the queen, but thats always good to know before hand if were going to price ourselves in like that. i dont think its spewy but i think its high variance and not necessary ( unless youre really stuck ).

my preferred line as hero would be to c/c 4th and c/r 5th if a similar card comes, unless youve got a 3rd st read dependent villain who will raise you if you lead so you can 3 bet. this also allows you to get away from the hand easier if you crap out on 5th obv.
