You could have two pair, bricked the river, and are bluffing ldo. Of course, like many razz players our poor villain seems to have overestimated the chance of this occuring.

Since we are on the topic of music, I just got back from Jamaica and heard a sick rendition of Karma Police by a Reggae group named Easy Star. Worth a listen if you like Radiohead and Reggae. They do a ton of covers too. They covered the whole Radiohead album as well as Dark Side of the Moon, Sargent Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band and various other stuff. I'm attempting to learn this song today (emphasis on attempting, I'm not very good - guitar that is, not tuba, sorry Andy)... good stuff good stuff.

actually, you'd be surprised as to how embedded IE is in some large financial organizations. dirty little secret imo and the main reason IE 6 is not dying as it should

I get stinking drunk about once a year. The last time was particularly ugly. Not as ugly as Gran's 80th birthday party, but particularly ugly. I'm saying that four 7% beers ain't enough to get me drunk. I'll probably have six or so beers in the 6% range this evening, and I doubt I'll get much of a buzz. Let's hear it for excess weight and a semi-ridiculous tolerance level.

Joe, I was already well aware that your taste in beer was more than a little suspect.

Oh, and Joe, to show that we're not so different, I too will be drinking straight from the can tonight:

anyone know if PRBigFish on FTP is a member of this site?
Pretty sure he's not, he plays on Stars as well, often multi-tabling 6+ Razz tables over both sites. Plays fairly well, annoying TAG but fairly harmless.

If PG County gets poker we are all doomed.

WTF is wrong with this weekend???!!! Last weekend was extra juicy at Stud8 hu sngs. So I waited whole week to get these juicy weekend games again. But NO! Every other villain is weakTIGHT check-check-checker. Well some of them are quite loose at 3rd. Will call you bring-in with (K8)J rainbow and try get lucky. But after 3rd they're tight. Will fold to bet if they don't catch nutz.
They will call your BI and check-check-check-fold-to-bet. No huge value at those games, it will get to some 150/300 level and be flip. Plus games will last atleast 30 mins... While you stack fish at 15 min or less on avg. I HATE THEM!

So? Bet nearly every 4th and 5th with garbage and watch the money roll in.

P.S. I have made a ton of money off this type of player in five card draw (i.e. nearly everyone at low stakes)

travis you are a ****ing boss... I will check out the national fwiw so thanks for that suggestion. And while you are on the topic of beer, yes, my friend is ******ed:

thought ultra to michelob was like extra is to corona. nothing like having a glass of water with a little alcohol in it!

anyone who's played at commerce lately....what are the range of 7 card games they run there and how are they? really itchin for some live 7 card, but it's not offered anywhere near where i live
03-13-2010 , 06:21 AM
Hi Stud LCers. I've decided to give 7 card stud a try, after making my start in poker at NLHE (like all the other internet kids). I'm playing on Stars, and wondering at what level the play gets somewhat decent?

I dove into 25/50c and despite not having a clue what I'm doing, it looks like everyone else is more ******ed than me. Is 50c/$1 a good place to start?

Cheers.
03-13-2010 , 06:57 AM
the highest i've played on stars was 5/10 RE and both were loltastically bad play
03-13-2010 , 07:15 AM
Jesus, if I find my way out to Vegas this summer, I'm going to organize some sort of 2+2 drinking contest. While I'm not a beer snob, I can't stand seeing PBR and Michelob Ultra being pasted on the LC thread. I laughed when the michelin star restaurant I went to tonight had PBR on the "fine crafted brew" menu. /tilt/beer snobbery/ I'm obviously drunk off Grey Goose and German Malt Liquor.

Andy, I really dig the label for that beer. "Beer for a glass, from a can." So full of win.

HU razz on PS is a joke... its like PS says lets make everything on this site good.... but *** razz only idiots play that . AP should also have hu sngs

There are those who insist that Surly must be poured into a glass, but part of the appeal of Surly for me is that an insufferable beer snob like me can drink straight from the can.

There's a certain stigma about canned beer in the US that doesn't exist elsewhere afaik. The only "craft" brewers I can think of who can beer are Surly and James Page, who are both local. There are plenty of brewers in, say, the British Isles who put perfectly good beer into cans.

Does this count as craft?

Probably. I mean, you don't see A-B or Miller/Coors cranking out Imperial stouts. Does Ten Fidy refer to its ABV? Is the ABV on the "beer" about tree fiddy?
