Standard? Should I do anything differently once the 3rd player folds?

The very next hand at the same table: Good fold given the cards that are out? What kind of difference would it make in this situation if my Aces were in the hole?

First hand, umm, well played? Second hand, wtf does it take to get you to play a hand? Raise third and take it from there. Since you asked, if your Aces were in the hole, I would also raise.

Would you play it if the case ace was dead as well? What if the aces were in the hole, but dead?

Does it affect your decision making process at all to know that in this game you are almost never going to get to 4th street heads up?

Yes

Yes, but not enough to swing this to a fold imo. Ace-Ace-baby is a pretty nice starting hand in this game.

Everything that Andy says is spot on, as usual.

But this...

Let's say for whatever reason you do something like I did in that hand. How could you use it to your benefit?

And how would you adjust to me exactly if you were the villain or just seated at the table?

That was one of the first few razz hands in the 8-game rotation. I had played 1 round of everything else, except razz. I wasn't out of line in terms of loose/aggressive play up to that point at all and I was a moderate winner at the table since sitting down.

(second hand)

I almost fell off my chair when you folded (A5)A on third in stud-8. Luckily, it's morning and I've gotta go work, otherwise beer would probably be all over my computer screen, and I'd be pretty upset with you.

One ace, all the twos, threes, fours, sevens, two more fives, two eights, and three sixes are all live. For cripes sake, RAISE!

Yikes. Hand 1 you played fine. Actually the hand played itself and you came along for the ride.

Hand 2. wtf? Folding split A's on 3rd and especially with a 5 for backdoor lo is absurd. 2 pair, Aces up will be the best hand in most of the time. And against that board with 2 kings and 2 eights out and you with another A and 5 you are already in the drivers seat. Step on the gas and max bet third and fourth streets (if you can) and re-evaluate at 5th.
