Seat one brings-in with 2. I raise in Seat 2 with TKK. One king dead. Folded all the way to the BI. He raises. I call. This guy is a decent player, but gets aggro and tilty when losing. Which he was at this point.

I pair my king door on fourth. He bricks. I double bet, he calls, while cursing the entire time. On fifth he catches the A. I check. He bets. I have no re-draw. As you can tell by my check, I put him on pocket aces. Fold or call?

So on 3rd 4 small bets go in and on 4th 4 more small bets go in, a total of 4 big bets. (plus whatever the antes are, you didn't say, nor how many players there are)

When he bets 5th you're getting 5:1 immediate odds. Worst case scenario for calling down is 7:3 although if you boat up it'll be 8:3 if you can get an extra bet in.

*If* he has AA and no boat, you're a bit better off than 4:1 - actually not that far from 3:1, about 78%. I don't know exactly because you didn't give dead cards or your relative bricks.

If his hand was face up, it's a fold. If there's any chance he has something else, you call. I don't think it's completely out of line to think that the A paired him and he thinks that's good for him, especially when you check, but, I don't play with this guy a lot.

$3 ante. $5 bring-in. Full table of 8 players.

You have a redraw. Based on your description I'm showing this down and raising or c/raising any street where I fill and his board doesn't pair. If his board pairs I still call down for the times he made Aces up.

Lack of redraw was not a good way of saying that I would need to fill if he had trip aces. Since I had no straight or flush draw.

Why put him so squarely on AA in the hole when you said he may be currently on aggro tilt?

Him three betting me as the bring-in was the main reason. That got my spidey-sense tingling.

He could be rolled up as well. Anyway, nobody is folding trip Kings at 20-40. I'm surprised enough at the 5th st check.

You completed and he 2-bet, unless I read the OP incorrectly somehow.

I don't think the villain is raising you on 3rd with a set of 2s, though. I think aces are more likely than rolled up 2s. I wouldn't be surprised if he had Ad/Qd/2d or Ad/Jd/2d though or even A/2/2. You said a king was folded on 3rd so he may not be assuming you have a pair of kings when you complete.

In any case, yeah I don't see anyone folding a set of kings here even if you didn't describe the villain as someone who might be on tilt. If you really feel he has a set of aces then x/c.

Weird hand, I would get sick when he catches that ace, and hope that he was rolled. Nice read on your part, but still what catches my attention is that he was agro/tilted and grumbled when you paired your door card, plus the dead king. Split deuces with the ace kicker may be there, and you gave him confidence by checking 5th. Anyone feel like c/r'ing 5th with the intention of folding if 3 bet?

Personally I'd never take a c/r/f line against a guy on tilt.

Seems like a really bad plan considering you have a redraw to the best possible hand he could have

I never expected anyone to advocate a fold in this spot and I didn't. But it was one of those spots that I was as close to 100% certain as I could have been in my read and I kept going. I wonder what a top drawer stud player would have done in that spot when he or she was virtually certain they were facing trip aces?

This hand went to the river. I filled on the river and lost to aces full, which also hit on the river. I check-called the river, based upon how sunny his demeanour was at that point.

TBH, I'd rather lose an extra 2 bets than replay the hand in my head for the rest of my life (I've got about a dozen of them) wondering if I made a bad fold.
