In heads up pots, higher low cards do well, because when you pair with them, you win the pot more often, and the high half becomes more important HU. If you pair an 8 and are looking at a 267k board, you're in good shape. If you pair a 3, well, you'll be making some mistakes.
Making the best low only gets you half the pot, so give yourself a better shot at the whole thing. 876>>>>>>>345 HU.
