Basically I am a fish at this game and I'm not really sure of what I'm doing.

I had notes of villain from non stud games that he is aggro and kind of spewy, but I don't really know of how he plays at stud8.

Should I have played this hand any different? And was my call on third street ok or I should have just folded?

Hand starts to go off the rails when you 3! 5th, pretty much impossible for you to be ahead of a reasonable range

The guy is short stacked and trying to get it in. He could easily have a naked lowvdraw

Hero is not an equity favorite over many low-draws. for example, if the hand was hu and ignoring dead cards, hero would be behind something like a5k87 with 3 of any suit. Even against the most garbagey possible low draws hero would be at best something like a 3:2 equity favorite.

hero may also benefit from having more chips on 6th and river. For example, villain may miss his low draw and fold the winning hi hand to a bet on river he could not if he were all-in. Or maybe villain makes a lo on 6th and is free-rolling if hero bricks.
