Has anyone played Stud on ACR at these stakes? I am very new to stud but the structure makes no sense to me.

It's .04/.08 with a .03 bring in. This means a complete is .04 and a raise of .01. Is there any reason to ever complete in this scenario? Seems like giving away the strength of your hand is never worth the extra cent, especially because it gives you zero additional FE.

There was a thread with this exact question a few months ago.

Yep, and it's still on the front page!

OP, since there were not any satisfying replies to that thread, I'll reply here.

I agree that there is little point to open-completing any hand in theory. However, exploitatively you could consider doing it with hands that wish to get re-raised if there is an aggressive player at the table.

I played those stakes for a little while and never completed third. I did well, but the opposition was so atrocious it would be difficult to measure the value of each strategy. I would move up to .40|.80 immediately if bankroll is not a concern. As a beginner you'll learn more at that stake, and it shouldn't take long to become a winning player.
