Regarding the upcoming Wynn Classic:

1) When it's listed $500/50(opening event) does it mean it's $450+50(I think that's what it means) or $500+50? And since 3% is taken out does it mean it's actually $436.50+63.50?

2) What comps do players get for entering an event?

3) Does Wynn have a poker rate for rooms? If so please specify.

Thanks

Our first event is $550 NLH with a $250,000 Guarantee. On the schedule it is listed as $500/50. The total buy in is $550, $500 goes towards the prize pool, $50 is an entry fee for "the house". The 3% is taken out of the $500. So the actual amount taken out is $15.
When players register for an event they are given an option of what they would like to receive. Players can pick between a card protector, a hat, or a $10 food comp. A choice for a polo shirt is also an option, but you would need to register for 2 events. You can play one event, not take the $10 comp, hat or card protector, then when you register for another event (or re-enter) , you can get a polo shirt.
We do offer a poker rate of $119 weekdays and $199 weekends. We recommend make your reservations as early as possible. To make poker room reservations please email: poker.reservations@wynnlasvegas.com
Hope this answered all of your questions. If you have any more please feel free to ask.

Normally, it is 6 hrs a day of play a day for each room. During our Wynn Classic, if you enter an event that day, you will qualify for the poker rate.

Looks like it's $2hr now? Also, are you running any new promotions for March/during the classic?

It did recently switch back to $2 an hr in comps. The Classic begins on Thursday, Feb. 28. When players register for the Classic, they have their choice of a $10 food comp, a hat or a card protector when they register for an event. We are also providing players with a poker room rate if they play that days event. Any promotions set to happen after the Classic will be posted on this thread, our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/WynnLasVegasPokerRoom and Twitter (@WynnPoker) when they are announced.

Does anyone know if the Wynn is planning on having a summer classic again like they did last year. The tournaments seem to keep getting better and better at the Wynn.

Just wanted to say that I played at the Wynn for the first time this past Friday and really enjoyed the room. I can't think of one thing to complain about. The staff was great and the overall atmosphere was very comfortable and will be playing here again for sure

Great job Wynn!!

I also would rate the Wynn as the nicest poker room in Vegas.

Buy-ins are larger here for the 1/3 and 2/5 NL so the games play much
deeper than other rooms in town.

The room is always clean and well kept, the chairs are comfortable and
the tables are in great condition with classic green felt.

No jackpots or other gimmicks here, just pure poker.

A well run room.

With the players card, if you have never had a players card with the Wynn before, when you arrive you need to sign up for one at the red card desk. They do run promotions for new players signing up, but change the promotions often, so you will need to go to the desk to find out the current promotion for the dates you are visiting. If you are going to be staying for the weekend, on Saturdays there is a $225 NLH $25K Guarantee Tournament. On Sundays there is a $200 NLH $10K Guarantee Tournament.
