Occasionally we have a 15-30, but not all the time. When we are starting a limit game 15-30 or higher, most of the time we will put that on Facebook and Twitter. Hope this helps. Hi Wynn Poker:

Just an opinion, but it seems to me that the jump from $4-$8 to $15-$30 is too great. Have you considered going to $10-$20 and then onto $20-$40 if you get the interest.

Best wishes,
Mason

We are definitely interested in spreading Limit Hold'em Games. We start at 4-8, 8-16, then 15-30. We just have not been getting the 8-16. But it is something we are interested in and do offer. Our current promotion is $3 Max Rake on all Limit Games as well as $3 an hr in comps on all games all the time.

I'm a daily regular grinder @ Wynn and love some of the changes going on, the room has been pretty busy even during the dog days of August due to some good promotions and new innovations by management....couple of questions...

1) I noticed on the bravo app last week that there were a few 5/5/10s going w 3k max...was this just the traveling game that goes around town or is this game promoted as here to stay? I havent seen it run since that day last week, I hope so, as I dont want that to cannabilize the great 2/5 1500max game and add a bunch of 5/10 grinders to the player pool since 5/10 wouldnt run...

2) Also, a friend of mine back home runs a charity poker club and would like to buy a bunch of Wynn out-of-circulation decks for his game, to add legitimacy to have decks from a vegas poker room...can i speak to a shift manager/floorman and do you currently sell out of use decks (10 of em or so) per request?

Thanks for your prompt replies and keep up the great work with the room!

They are planning to spread the 5-5-10 NLH Games Wednesdays at 4 pm. Last week I know we had a big list so I would call (702) 770-7654 to add your name to the list before you head over to the room, if you are going to play. As for the decks of cards, we are unable to give out any new or used decks from our room. I believe it is that way with all the rooms, but you could still check with them. I know the Gamblers Store here in Vegas sells Poker Cards, but not from casinos. Hope this info helped answer both of your questions. Feel free to post on this thread at any time with any questions about our room.

Casinos don't do that with new cards for security reasons, you might be able to get used decks at various places but they will be marked in some way and therefore unusable in a poker game. Come to think of it, I've never even seen poker decks for sale in the gift shops, just casino cards.

I will be in Vegas in a few months. I wanted to ask about the daily 10/20 Omaha game. Obv there are daily regs to keep game going but is it decent action or a nitfest. I've played nl at Wynn and loved it

I wasn't ignoring you in this question, I was just waiting for a player to answer it. No one has and I didn't want to keep you waiting any longer for a response. Our Omaha 10-20 High Low with a half kill starts ever morning at 10 am. We are currently offering $3 max rake on all limit games and $3 an hr in comps on all games, so it fills up pretty quickly most days. On the weekends we usually have 2 games going, which sounds like that's what you are looking for. However. we also may end up having two games on a Wednesday, so it just depends. I think you stop check out the game everyday, of course, because like I said it can be a random weekday there are two games going with a list, and the weekend should have that as well.

Can't wait to play in the fall classic. I got sucked into playing those ridiculous deepstack events at the rio this summer and I regret passing on the obviously better structure/rake/room experience here. Are the tournament comps going to be similar to the ones offered in summer? I know you said earlier that they would be $3/ hour, but how does that translate into tournaments? I remember that over summer there was something like $10 per tournament, with an additional $10 for early registration and another $10 for showing another casino's tourney receipt. Anything like that?

The Wynn Fall Classic is set to begin October 11. To view the schedule: http://wynnpoker.com/wynn_fall_classic.cfm . The comps for cash games are currently at $3 an hr. (If this promotion ends before the tournament, we will post on this thread.) That is different than tournament comps. When players register for a tournament they will receive a $10 food comp, and their choice of either a hat or card protector. Players will need a players card to register for an event. You can make one right in the poker room, its very easy and quick.

FWIW, over Labor Day, I thought the games were certainly on the regfest/nitfest side (suprise) but not ridiculously so and there were a few spots. Service was great.

The 1-3 NL has a buy in of $100-500. The 2-5 NL buy in is $200-$1500. The 5-10 NL is $500 minimum with no max, 10-20 NL is $2,000 minimum with no max. Wednesdays at 4 pm we have been spreading 5-5-10 NL. That game has a buy in of $500-3,000. We have been spreading an average of 3 of those games on Wednesday nights.
PLO is not something we spread on a regular basis. When we do spread it, it happens more on Friday and Saturday nights. When we have the Fall Classic in October, we should be spreading that more often. The most common PLO games we spread are 1-2 with a buy in of $100-500, 5-5 with a buy in of $200-1,000 and 5-10 with a buy in of $500 minimum no cap.

Heading out this week. Anyone else played in the O/8game? If so, how is it?
Love it when regs think they are the only people in the world that know how to play O/8. They tend to tilt when no regs start to win at "their" table

I played in the 10/20 O/8 game last week, on Wednesday and again on Friday. You are correct that the game is populated by local regs. Some are good players. It was not an easy game by any means. I do agree that they get a bit tilted by non regs winning " their" pots. They game pretty much goes Monday- Saturday and starts around 10-11 am. If you start the game and play for at least five hours the Wynn gives you a $40 buffet comp. Make sure you ask about it. I didn't get one for Wednesday, but on Friday the floor did give me one for both Wednesday and Friday.

I found the game the 8/16 game at the Venetian much easier, as you get more tourist type players playing every hand. The regs in the Wynn game are much more selective.

Just wanted to say that I'm quite pleased to hear that the Wynn is spreading O/8 regularly, and that I hope that's still going on when I fly out to Vegas again in January.

Thanks. I'm staying at the Wynn and will try this game but will most likely take your advice and go to the Venetian for a little bit

Was in Vegas for work last week and enjoyed playing at the Wynn more than any other room. Stayed at the Venetian but spent most of my poker time at the Wynn. Played 1/3 and 2/5 and the games were pretty good all around. Deep 2/5, kind of reggy, but nothing out of the ordinary for Vegas. Typical agro kids that all go out of their way to let you know they are regs. Friday there was a kid sitting on what looked like almost 10k at 2/5. Games weren't easy, but the money on the tables made them worth it. 1/3 was very soft and also fairly deep for a low limit game.

Floor was helpful. Cocktail girls are mostly 8s or better. Looking forward to returning next time. Hopefully the room can increase the amount of tourists and non-regs.

Agreed. It's a beautiful room and the cocktail girls are some of my favorite in the looks department. I would love to be a recruiter for that position

But the reg to tourist ration kind blows at this place and sometimes it feels like that scene in Rounders when they are all playing together at the Taj with tourists cycling through the 2 or 3 seats of the table.
