Hello. I'd like to know what is, in your opinion, the best casino for play from 1-2 to 5-10 in Spain. Barcelona or Madrid?

I can vouch for Gran Casino Madrid. Was there once a week while working in Madrid a few years ago and the games were good. Only complaint was the long wait times if you got there too late in the day.

Hi, I'm planning to go to Spain in January or February. Are 2+2ers from Madrid, Valencia or Murcia?

Does anyone have any current info on live poker in Madrid? I'm going to be there in 10 days.

Does Casino Bahía de Cárdiz have games running daily? Are there any other casinos/card rooms in Madrid that have poker?

Which NL game is the biggest game they run everyday in a normal week? NL 2/4 or higher?

Is value good? Have you played in the casino in Barcelona too?

Thank you!

They have web sites (casinobarcelona, casinogranmadrid, casinocirsavalencia) that tell both the limits and the rakes (or there is a 10 € entrance fee (that you perhaps might still be able to print for free for Barcelona, from their site). Might still have a mandatory jacket for winter times (and some colder winters in Madrid) but about no dress code at other times if even then. A passport needed for non-EU members and at least an ID card for the EU members (driver's license might not be okay but in one's own country, if accepted there as so).

In these two biggest cities, especially in Madrid, as Gran Casino Madrid is at least half as big as Florida Tampa (wait times rate to be less as so? But generally if one goes when all go there, it takes longer to get a seat at most casinos/poker rooms).

Also PLO should be running well (it doesn't much in the USA (LV Aria most likely) and not even in most parts of Europe, like in Italy, France (maybe as Italy: possibly rare PLO and high rake, or the 1/2 might be the usual 5% and 10 € cap about anywhere in Western EU), and Netherland's rake cap is 20 € so anything too low is unplayable). In non-USA, the higher rake cap is more brutal as PLO but seems generally playable in these two cities (and London but PLO ratest to be less popular there even at 2/5 or so). In USA there is like a 5 dollar cap generally but it perhaps might be a drop as soon as the flop comes, or so (LV has a normal rake type). The 10 cap isn't a double rake at many limits because it hits in less often than the 5.

I don't know from where one sees what games are running (right) now when it comes to poker rooms (casinos) in Spain. So, if they run or not is another thing but all that I have read is that 5/10 (PLO) is a regular game both in Barcelona and Madrid and as listed should be running lower also, even if a nlh/plo mix (generally plo). The later/evening one comes, the more likely they are running (or the lowest in theory might not, in cases, or more waiting, and during big events it might be like 5/5 lowest e.g. in Barcelona, even then a lot of waiting and too many people overall).

Years ago, there was supposed to come a Las Vegas Spain but it didn't take off (Zaragoza) as Andelson wanted players to smoke. But this is the second best live country at this time, if not going to Vegas, Florida, LA, USA (or some absurdly high rake or/and higher limit in Macau), or London perhaps. Or play low limits (nlh50, after the rake might start to be a problem) in Eastern Europe/EU (Romania's Bucharest etc., Hungary's Budapest (straddle is possible), and maybe Czech Republic's Prague that might be smoke free by now but the rakes might be too high -- King's Casino's is and one needs to live in a hotel there -- and as so the customers might be more like tougher tourists, and some reported it to be like so, and the Czech costs are like in Western EU).

pokerin.eu has more (including maps). In Madrid there are at least three options, the mentioned being the big one.
