I went and played last night (Wednesday night June 18). It looked like there were 6 total tables running and waiting lists that fluctuated between 6 and 12 for 1/2 and 2/5. There was a waiting list for 5/5 as well but I don't know if the game was actually running or not. There was also a 1/2 PLO table.
At most casinos, the waiters come to my table to try to sell me drinks so often I have to fight them off with a stick, but waiters were few and far between last night and one was even a bit obnoxious to me.
As far as the electronic tables themselves (my first time playing on them), it was fine. I definitely prefer playing with cards and chips - not something I can put into words, it's just not the same. But if I happened to be at a casino that "only" had electronic tables I certainly wouldn't refuse to play. The biggest advantages to them are: 1. In multiway all in pots with multiple stack sizes, the computer can redistribute the "chips" in an instant 2. No tipping a dealer. 3. Nobody can sit there for 5 minutes making a single decision (I think the timer was 45 seconds but it might have been 60).
As far as the game, it wasn't a goldmine but it wasn't bad. Before the flop there were pots where 6 people limped in to see a flop, there were pots where 4 people would limp, the button would raise to $12 and all of the limpers would fold, there were pots where all of the limpers would call a raise, and very very rare 3-bets.
After the flop there were hands where the flop would check all the way around, pots where someone would stab and 3 to 6 players would all fold, others where someone would stab and they'd all call.
Overall, fairly tricky game, tough to read people, tough to get people to put a lot of money in the pot without a very strong hand.
The funny story that I'll share is I ordered a bottle of water and whipped out a US $5 to pay for it and everyone at the table was saying what the hell is that?
. When they found out I was from the US it turned into a very friendly game, asking me where i'm from what I'm doing there, joking about how I'm from Texas but I can't play Texas Hold'Em there.
Overall, positive experience - while not the most luxurious poker experience ever but I certainly recommend it, I had fun.
