When I was last there and played any BJ over ten yrs ago at $5 bj it was 50 CPh up to a $50 bet where it doubles. Believe it goes up every $50.

@MS. This also shows it is not a 10% tax.

50 cents per hand for bet up to $99. One dollar per hand for bets $100 and above.

For the regs out there, who do you think are the best players at 1-2, 1-3, 2-5, and 5-10?

Gainesville, TX is 10 minutes down the road south and probably your best bet to try to find something.

Winstar gets so many more games than choctaw. I'm in the area gonna go check out winstar I guess. Is winstar just the better place to play? We're staying at choctaw. It's just medicinal here right in Oklahoma. Anybody can help me out with some medicine. Message me thanks.

Anybody know a website that shows the payouts of winstar tournaments?

Winstar has better service, and a slow Saturday there has probably the same or more low stakes tables than Durant during the series. That combined with the sometimes nitty nature of tournament players at cash tables and I'd say advantage Winstar. If you've never played there note that 1-3 is better action by far than 1-2.

This still hold true? Been to Durant twice during WSOP series and cash games were great. Thinking of going to the one in October but never been to Winstar but if a regular weekend there is even close to as good I might do that instead in September. Its a 9 hour drive for me so just wanting best bang for my buck.

Winstar cash games are WAY better imo. 2/5 is great!! Good luck!

What hotel do you all stay at? Looks like Winstar itself is $300 a nt on weekends. The Best Western next door is $250ish a nt. Even the 2 better ones in Gainsville is about $200.

Honestly? Do you not get comps? They sent me 4 free nights this month, and they've even given me a comped night just by asking them at the rewards club. Usually you can get a comp during the week, not the weekends though. Go to the website and put your player's card number.

I've stayed at the La Quinta Inn & Suites which is less than 10 minutes down the road several times and it was around 100ish.

Hello everyone. I have been playing online poker for 5 years. Lately I have gotten really tired of the online grinders and I've taken a decission to start playing at winstar with a bankroll of 500 usd every week.

How far could that take me? I haven't really played in real life yet, but I am sure that I will do better live than online.

Are there anyone here from Dallas that play at winstar? I'm looking for a carpool or a bus from dallas to winstar. If anyone could suggest a transportation then please let me know.

- James

If you have broken even or are a slight winner in online $ playing $1/2 No limit than you can crush both $1/2 & $1/3 live. You should have at least 40 max buy ins to play either game. So if you afford to lose $500 per week. That is enough for 2 buyins in either game. But I would not play 2/5NL with only 1 buyin.

Greyhound operates a bus from Dallas to WinStar World Casino twice daily. Tickets cost $14 - $21 and the journey takes 1h 35m. Alternatively, Amtrak operates a train from Dallas to WinStar World Casino once a week. Tickets cost $30 - $45 and the journey takes 4h 15m.

Hi all

I'm going to be at winstar for a golf tournament this coming weekend, and was looking to play some poker while im here. I generally play 1-2 300 cap and occasional 1-2 300 cap plo. Im almost certainly going to fire the $100 friday tournament, and then probably hop into cash. Would you guys reccommend 1-2 200 cap or 1-3 300 cap if I'm trying to play the game that's most similar to my usual.

Better game yes. But that was not the question. Can’t really say what is more like op normal game because I would not know about that game. Heck, my normal game is a 1-3 no cap and I find the 2-5 at winstar to play like back home.

His normal game is a 300 cap and he also plays 300 cap plo. His games I would guess play bigger wjth more action than Winstar 1/2

Pretty fast structure, abysmal opponents. A good time.
