I guess the issue is that they are moving the cameras from the old room (I saw a lot of cameras that had been taken down in the old room, assume they are going in the new room). Didn't know they were going live today...went up there to play in the tournament....an no tournament.

Ton of people waiting around for a seat. New room should be nice though.

Did they get better seats? The old ones were terrible...

Choctaw has such a nice room, but there's barely any games there ever... unless there's some event like WSOP circuit there.

I think they kept the chairs. I hear that complaint a lot, they don't bother me much.

Choctaw has a nice room, lighting is not good, and the dealers, on average, are not as good as Winstar's.

Uh, I don't see any swiveling chairs. They're new, but they don't move.

Room is decent, nothing special.

Have to enter at new York entrance. Normal entrance closed.

Yeah they're going to open that entrance back up once the construction in there is done. Who knows when that'll be though.

Got to see the room this past weekend. Not bad. Plenty of room between tables. However chairs are still the same. Nice and open feeling.

Downside is you have to enter through the New York entrance. No easy access to the room at this time.

For clarity, is the ‘new’ poker room in exact same location or down the hall towards larger bingo hall? Is the ongoing construction building a brand new poker room (tables, chairs, decor). Just trying to understand what i would see walking in today versus 2 months ago versus 2 months from now. Thanks!!

Down towards bingo hall. Its pretty much finished. The construction we're talking about is the old entrance.

Would still like to know where these swiveling chairs a previous poster was talking about are.

after my post for a few days ago, I decided to go to WinStar yesterday. Did pretty well. Chopped three ways for the 1 PM tournament for $960

Played 2/5 NL for 5-6 hours and actually booked a good profit.

Overall the pictures above do the room justice. As mentioned tables are further spread out which is a positive. The chairs are new but do not swivel.

Obviously Choctaw poker room is overall better decor and atmosphere within the room. However Winstar does have more action and now far more tables. Look forward to going again.

Still curious what is being constructed in former poker room space?/

There's a newish entrance to the south of where the old entrance was, goes pretty much right into the poker room.

Guessing the Star will be dead this weekend with the circuit at Choctaw. Looks like I'll add another 15 minutes to my drive.
