Thanks for the advice in here... Ate after my session at the cafe in the hotel, and enjoyed the 24 hour breakfast menu for dinner.

Someone asked about Gainesville... That's where I stayed. The drive is easy, I'm guessing you're going to want to go slow once you're off the exit since I assume the tribe can write their own speeding tickets. (Maybe a reg can confirm/deny.)

I stayed at La Quinta. It was fine. Nothing amazing, but I'd stay again if I was in the area as opposed to taking my chances elsewhere. It was clean and seemed pretty new.

It's pretty easy to speed on the road to the casino since it is broad and open and 35 limit.

Yeah its really easy to speed once you get off the interstate onto the side road. Its 4 lane and open and speed limit 45 and goes down to 35 when you get closer. See people get pulled over too.

As for comped rooms, you need to sign up for a players card and also go to the card player desk and sign up for a mailer. After so many hours/weeks, you should get the mailer alerting you to which nights you have comped. When I first started getting these, I had 2 nights per month, one during the first half of the month and the other during the second half of the month (there is a nice little calendar marked in the mailer that shows "W" marks next to the days you can stay. Nowadays, I get 4 nights per month (2 first half, 2 second half) with the same mailer. It's a nice benefit. The comped rooms aren't truly free, they do charge a $10 resort fee/administrative fee per night. But hey, that's much better than regular price. Its a good deal and have used it many times.

A tip for the comped rooms: I went several weeks ago and was told beforehand that they wouldn't be able to comp my room, however once I added the gf's players card to the reservation they could.

Edit: it was during the week leading up to the MMA fights, so not sure if it was because they were almost full or because I'm just a poker player and don't rate very high. Probably a combo of the 2.

I'm seeing 1/2 and 1/3 on bravo? Difference between the two games or is this just a typo? And timeline on the room being redone? Planning on making a run that way near Thanksgiving

Wow, blows my mind they would run both. Sounds like the same game to me. 2/5 a 100bb game as well? 5/t?

2/5 is 100 BB max and 5/10 is 200 BB max.

I've played both the 1/2 and 1/3 and I don't think they are the same game.

Room change likely happening shortly after the first of the year.
Possibly up to 60 tables.
None of this is gospel yet.

I'm sure if they spread both then the player pools create a difference between them. I guess I'm just used to deeper games therefore the difference between 200 and 300 seems meaningless to me.

Yeah the 100 BB cap really makes all the difference imo. Yeah, most places let you buy in for max stack, 70% of big stack, etc... I get what you mean.

The room tries not to seat people at 1/2 so the only players you really get there are the ones that are adamant a out only playing 1/2 $200max while the others that just want to get on a table go sit at 1/3. That makes a big difference imo.

Well I decided to come today too. What a ****show. Only 9 tables open because of no camera coverage. Looks like 55 total tables. Construction still ongoing. They never should have opened up in this condition.

I drove over to Choctaw instead of waiting. Bravo shows they have 10 tables going now so I guess they got one more camera working.
