Will there likely be a huge waiting list? Wondering if it's a good time for a road trip.

Havent been to Winstar since last March. Got a deal in the mail for two free nights on non Friday and Saturday nights. Thinking about taking advantage of it if it really is completely free. How often can you expect to get these complimentary rooms? Any tips on how to get them more often other than playing table games (I just play poker, no slots, no roulette nothin else)

I hardly ever play anything other than poker up there and I get those offers several times a year. Deal is legit in that you pay nothing out of pocket. No clue how to increase the frequency if you're ruling out table games.

Is there a bus that would get me to windstar in a decent amount of time or should I rent a car?

FYI -
Not sure what you consider a "decent amount of time", but you are looking at a solid hour (by car) to get from the Hyatt Regency to Winstar - probably more. I live 20-25 minutes north of the Hyatt Regency on the direct route to Winstar (I35), and it takes me 50-55 minutes to get there.

I'm here now, and I never got anything in the mail. They let me check in at 4AM and gave me Tues and Wed comped. I was really surprised. I think if you have played over a certain amount of hrs before the new hotel was built, they load 2 free nights on your passport card.

There were 10 1/2 tables and 3 2/5 tables when I showed up at 10PM. At 6AM there was 1 of each. Action was good at some tables tight at others. The floor is really good about making table changes if you want to game select.

$2/5 runs everyday, pretty close to all day IIRC.

$5/10 definitely more hit and miss. I don't know that it reliably goes during the week. Could definitely be wrong though.

Winstar is on Bravo now though, so you can just keep an eye on it.

How does one see the Bravo info? I tried to find an Andriod app for it and didnt find anything in the store for it. Maybe its an iphone only app? Or only on the web?

It's called Bravo Poker Live, and it's on android.
You should also get Poker Near Me, which gives good info on rooms, including % return on tournaments and games regularly spread.

I never played poker at Winstar before, but how are the daily tournaments there, either during the weekdays or during the weekend. Planning to go there 2-3 days before the Christmas. I checked the room prices online and they were like 110$+. Are there any other good hotels nearby except the Inn at Winstar? Last time I visited, there were 4-5 hotels that are under construction (New York , Paris etc etc). IS the construction done? Sorry for too many questions, just excited that I will be playing poker there .....
