There are many more important qualities that a good governor has to tend to than gambling.

You don't elect someone to office based on their views on entertainment.

You elect someone who can run the state the best way possible and Perry does a great job because Texas is one of the top 3 states who have the strongest economies in the USA. We have plenty of money and we prove it by gambling in Oklahoma and Louisiana

I'm not going to politard this up any more, but Perry is an assclown, and Texas has a strong economy based largely on its size and location. We also had a budget shortfall in the tens of billions of dollars last session. Perry vetoes a texting while driving ban as a 'government overreach' but he's fine with the government overreaching and stopping consenting adults from playing a game of skill and chance. Makes sense. I'd love to see the death statistics comparison between texting while driving and Texas Holdem.

One second bashing Perry and the Next Defending him? sounds like backwardness logic to me.

Bus ride is fine, they take several stops but it's nice to be able to ride up there without having to drive. The comps they give you only work at slots.

It's hit or miss. I used to play 1/2 there quite often, and I'd sit in some really nitty games more often than I'd find loose ones. Table selecting is required, which is unfortunate when speaking about 1/2. The 2/5 at Winstar, on the other hand, has been a very good game every time I have sat down.

Hate to see politics in a thread about Winstar, but I just had to say I'm with you BA.

The $20 that you get works at the 9/5 (they once had 9/6) video poker machines in the hallway toward the poker room. Play .25, max bet, pull the lever 20 times and cash out your comp. It's not exactly like giving you $20 for chips, more like $18.50 or so, but it is not so bad.

Very soft 24hrs a day 7 days a week. Multiple tables going. The only thing that can suck is if you get stuck at a table where a bunch of players have less than $50 in front of them.

Re: Winstar World Casino (Thackerville, OK)

Way too many nit tables today.

Also I was wondering if the 2/5 tables are actually easier than 1/2??

We quickly busted a fish on my 1/2 table and he left for another 1/2 table and I saw that he quickly went broke again.

Then he went to the 2/5 table and I noticed his chip stack kept ballooning out of control. I attempted to count his stack from 40 feet away and it looked like he had at least $2,000. He had 5+ stacks of green chips and they were stacked pretty high plus mountains of red chips.

Re: Winstar World Casino (Thackerville, OK)

Do you honestly think that the fish acquired all of those chips at 2/5 because he outplayed the table? Players like that can aquire a ton of chips because they are gambling. It doesn't mean he isn't a huge loser at 2/5.

A good 2/5 player will crush any 1/2 table, regardless of how nitty it is. It's rare to find a 1/2 with more than 2 (what I would consider) good players and often every player on the table is bad and that includes weekdays. On the weekends there are too many soft tables to pick from.

Feel free to take a shot at 2/5 though. I'd love to play with you.
