Does anyone know if the poker room at the Winstar offers a hotel poker rate? The latest reference I could find in the forums was a post from 2009.

I've typically played at the Choctaw in Durant, which offers a poker rate, but I'd like to try out the Winstar.

I called the Winstar poker room and asked the question and they were cagey and acted like they didn't know what a poker rate even is, which I find hard to believe.

Any details would be appreciated.

No poker rate afaik. If it's during the week, ask a floor, you never know.

Red Beard is a Dallas PLO player and a semi-regular at Winstar but bigtex is correct, the fight happened during the WSOP Circuit this past weekend in New Orleans.

If anyone has the video of the guy knocking chips everywhere at a Winstar 5/10 table during the River back in 2012 (i think) and then getting tased I'd love to see it (again). When it happened the video was posted on youtube but was then immediately removed. Major bummer.

does anyone know if there is a decent market for selling tournament lamers? Heading up to winstar tomorrow and thought about playing the single table sats if there was an easy way to trade the chips for cash.

after a 2 year break from poker, I am back, been up a couple of times this week. Looking forward to seeing all the regs again. I will be at 2/5 or the bigger Buy in tournies friday or Sunday. Its like riding a bicycle, but admit I am rusty, royally butchered KK deep in the bounty tourney today

You can use your phone whenever/however. (Keep it on the rail) If you're not in the hand obviously.

I was told that if your phone is on the table while you're in a hand, or you set it down, whatever, and you hit a bad-beat jackpot or some such, they forfeit it. Not sure if that's accurate.

Not sure if they'll actually forfeit it, but yeah don't set it directly on the table, set it on the rail.
