I've been going to Winstar since the beginning and have never been offered a room on the weekends. They only offer Sun-Thurs which is useless to me. If I'm taking off work, I'm going to Vegas where I haven't paid for a hotel in 15 years.

I refuse to pay for rooms, drinks, or .50 cents/hand to play. But the poker is good.

Gainesville is the only option.

Consider throwing $100 in a slot on your trip to the card room. I pretty much get a free room every night of the wee (fri&sat included). Don't know if its just a special Winstar put on but July & Aug I've stayed 6 Fri nights all for free. Then play Sat before the drive home (haven't stayed Sat night).

Which days are the best bet for $5-10 or up games besides Friday and Saturday? Or does it usually run 7 days a week. Just moved back down here for the year, and trying to map out which days I want to make the drive to play.

Playing NLHE after the show. Must've drawing a big crowd. We are paying $295 for one nights lodging at Winstar. I just came back from LV today and paid that for 3 nights.

It's been a few years since I have played here and have a few questions. How are the daily weekend tournaments? Avg field/first place? Also would it be worth driving an additional hour drive to go to choctaw for 1/2 and 2/5 NL and tournaments (on a regular basis)?

Oh yeah with the Fall Series starting later this month, turnout in poker room for cash games will be much higher than normal.
